Aluminium-Formpuder. Zum Einpudern der Modelle beim Formsandguß werden
gewöhnlich Pulver benutzt, welche möglichst feinkörnig sein und Fettgehalt besitzen
sollen. Bekanntere Mittel dieser Art sind vor allem Lykopodium, dann Holzkohlepulver
oder auch Stärkemehl, Kartoffelmehl, Dextrin usw. Die letzteren werden meistens
als Ersatz für das nur schwer beschaffbare Lykopodium verwendet. Diesen Mitteln
haften aber verschiedene Mängel an, welche sich je nach ihrer Art und ihrem Verwendungszweck
mehr oder weniger bemerkbar machen. Meistenteils fehlt ihnen ein genügender Fettgehalt,
so daß sie schlecht haften und leicht bei dem Abblasen der Modelle mit entfernt
werden. Man ist deshalb genötigt, die Modelle mit einer fetthaltigen Lösung; z.
B. Petroleum, anzustäuben, was verschiedene Nachteile besitzt. Weiterhin gehen die
vorerwähnten Puder auch Verbindungen mit dem Wasser ein und bilden Klebstoffe, welche
ein sauberes Formen insofern unmöglich machen, als der Sand an den Modellen haften
bleibt, abreißt und die Formränder unscharf macht. Überdies besitzen einige Mittel
den Nachteil, daß sie den Formsand undurchlässig für Wasser machen. Dies gibt dann
insofern zu Störungen Anlaß, als die zu befeuchtenden Formränder nicht mehr nachgestrichen
und genäßt werden können und deshalb beim Trocknen abblättern. Es ist klar, daß
Formpuder, welche derartige Fehler besitzen, keine einwandfreien Mittel sind, und
daß sie oft zur Quelle fehlerhafter oder unsauberer Gußarbeiten werden. Frei von
all diesen Nachteilen ist der den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildende

Weiterhin ermöglicht
es eine saubere Trennung zwischen Formstück und Sand, so daß selbst an den schärfsten
Kanten und feinsten Stellen niemals Sandbrüche auftreten, sofern die normale Vorsicht

Stoffe nur als Nebenbestandteile auftreten. Damit tritt der vorliegende Erfindungsgedanke
in bewußten Gegensatz zu einem früher gemachten Vorschlag, nach dem sich ein guter
Modell- und Formpuder dadurch erhalten läßt, daß man Gemische verschiedenartiger
Stoffe
