Eine nicht erfolgte oder. nicht korrekt durchgeführte Montage des Tropfendetektors verursacht durch die Nicht-Erkennung der fallenden Tropfen fast immer den gefürchteten Freifluß (engl.: run away), der eine Stoß- bzw. Oberdosierung der medikamentösen Infusionslösung zur Folge hat, verbunden mit größter Gefahr für den Patienten, insbesondere im Falle hochwirksamer Arzneien wie z.B. Da die Gestaltung der Tropfenkammer verschiedenartig istD kann es erforderlich sein wie in Fig. 3 dargestellt, daß, die zusätzliche photoelektrische Strecke unterhalb der Tropfenaötaststrecke angeordnet werden soll.In Fig. 1 a possible embodiment is shown.
