Die Erzeugungsrate hängt dabei nach dem ZUnden von der Abbrandgeschwindigkeit ab, die durch Veränderung der Mischungskonzentration beeinflußt werden kann. Zum besseren Abführen des erzeugten Gases (Stickstoff) wird das S-toffgemisch in Granulatform benutzt, wobei jedes Granulatkorn aus dem Stoffgemisch oder das Stoffgemisch aus Granulatkörnern jeweils reiner Stoffe hergestellt werden kann. Für den binären Oxidstoff kann dabei Bortrioxid (B203) oder Siliziumdioxid (SiO2) benutzt werden, während für den Aktivator Schwefel (S) oder Phosphor (P) eingesetzt werden kann. Der Sauerstoff des jeweils verwendeten binären Oxidstoffes sorgt beim Abbrennen für die Bindung des Natriums 9 so daß im Rückstand kein elementares Natrium auftritt. Die Ausbeute des erzeugbaren Stickstoffes ist bei diesem Stoffgemisch im Vergleich zum Hauptpatent (Hauptpatentanmeldung) zwar etwas geringer, dafür ist aber der Rückstand frei von elementarem Natrium. Die Aktivatorstoffe Schwefel (S) oder Phosphor (P) werden zur Beeinflussung der Abbrandgeschwindigkeit mit der dazu jeweils erforderlichen Konzentration zugefügt.
