Kerzenschoner. Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kerzenschoner, der in
an sich bekannter Weise aus einem Dochthälter und einer Gleitführung an der Kerze
besteht. Bisher bestanden solche Vorrichtungen entZveder aus einem das obere Ende
des Dochts umschließenden Röhrchen und einem auf der oberen Stirnfläche der Kerze
aufliegenden Teller oder aus zwei ineinandergreifenden Drahtbügeln, die an einem
die Kerze umgebenden ringförmigen Teller angelenkt waren. Erstere Art hat den Nachteil,
daß das Dochtröhrchen keine Luft zur Dochtbrennstelle hindurchläßt, was beim Aufsetzen
zum Erlöschen der Flamme führen muß. Die andere Art hat zwar diesen Mangel nicht,
läßt jedoch ein seitliches Umfallen oder Biegen des Dochtendes zu. Beide sind aber
vor allem verhältnismäßig kompliziert gebaut, daher teuer und unbequem zu handhaben.
Diese Nachteile werden nach der Erfindung dadurch beseitigt, daß der Dochthalter
aus einem schraubenförmig gewundenen Draht und die Gleitführung aus einem die Kerze
umgebenden Drahtring _ hergestellt wird. Infolgedessen ist die Herstellung sehr
billig und die Handhabung bequem, ohne Gefahr des Erlöschens.Candle saver. The invention relates to a candle protector, which in

Der Kerzenschoner besteht danach aus einer _Schraubenspirale c, einer
Grifföse a sowie dem Kerzengleitring e, welche Teile durch die Bügel b und
d miteinander verbunden und aus einem einzigen Stück Draht hergestellt sind.
Bei der Benutzung des Kerzenschoners faßt man an der Grifföse a, setzt ihn auf die
Spitze der Kerze h so, daß der Docht g durch die Spirale c hindurch und darüber
hinausgeht und der Gleitring e am äußeren Umfang der Kerze gleitet. Somit wird beim
Brennen der Docht g der Kerze lt durch die konische Schraubenspirale c immer gerade
gehalten und dadurch ein Tropfen und schnelles Brennen der Kerze verhindert. Durch
das Erglühen der oberen Spiralringe wird der Lichtschein noch erhöht, während die
unteren Spiralringe, welche im flüssigen Wachs usw. der Kerze stehen, die oberen
