Discharge device for shaft furnaces. The invention relates to a device
for discharging shaft furnaces. The emptying device aims at a whole
Circumference of the furnace evenly discharges the material to be fired and keeps the mass in the furnace
constantly in motion, so that the goods do not hang.
The essence of the invention consists in the use of grates, their
Bars have roof-shaped inclined surfaces at the top. Lays against these sloping surfaces
the good. These areas essentially absorb the pressure of the column of fuel.
The goods between the grates are under considerably less pressure
and can be caused by the scratches between the grate bars and indeed considerably deeper
can be worked out without too much effort. The ones formed under the grate
Cavities serve to supply the cooling and combustion air.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing, namely in Fig.
i in cross section, in Fig. 2 in longitudinal section and in Fig. 3 in plan view of the grate.
The emptying device consists of grate bars i, which are triangular

because they are completely independent of the discharge boxes 6. The grids are here

through which the air enters the furnace. With the introduction of the

The fact that the air is blown in through the grids also makes one perfect
