Um eine Zither herzustellen, die eine Schlag- und eine Streichzither in sich vereinigt, ist das Griffbrett b der Schlagzither mit dem Griffbrett α der Streichzither in schräger Lage verbunden. In order to produce a zither that combines a percussion and a string zither, the fingerboard b of the percussion zither is connected to the fingerboard α of the string zither in an inclined position.
Um die Streichzither spielen zu können, sind vorn halbrunde gedrehte Füfschen mit Scharnieren angebracht, welche in umgeschlagener Stellung als Füfse der Schlagzither dienen. Diese Füfse c geben aufgestellt dem ganzen Instrumente eine schräge Lage, wie aus dem Querschnitt A - B ersichtlich. Das Streichzithergriffbrett kommt hierdurch in eine mehr hori-zontale Lage, so dafs sich die Streichzither bequem auf jedem Tische spielen läfst.In order to be able to play the string zither, semicircular twisted feet with hinges are attached, which serve as feet of the percussion zither in the folded position.
