Abstract
1. Process for manufacturing a collector ring comprising, in known manner, an annular core (1) in insulating material, at least two conductive ferrules (7-8) fitted tightly on the core and at least two conductors (9-10) welded on the ferrules, said conductors being placed in housings (2-3) of the core and projecting axially out of at least one of the cross faces of the latter, characterized in that it consists in : - defining, in the thickness of the core (1) and from one of the peripheral surfaces, two housings (2-3) shifted angularly and axially, and each issuing onto a transverse face (1_a, 1_b) of the core, - extending at least one of the housings by a hole (6) provided in the thickness of the core until it opens on the same transverse face as the other housing, - welding two conductors (9-10) on the two conductive ferrules (7-8), causing the ferrules to slide on the core (1) peripheral surface where the housings (2-3) issue, while simultaneously engaging the conductors (9-10) into said housings and into the hole, and causing the ferrules to cover said housings, - providing for an axial and angular connection between the core and each ferrule by means of point bars (11-12) penetrating into the material of the core upon the sliding.
