Der Ofenmantel ist aus den doppelten Wandungen A B gebildet, zwischen denen sich Wasser befindet. Im Innern des Mantels B liegen die Heizlamellen C, welche aus flachen Rohren E gebildet sind und ebenfalls Wasser enthalten, welches nach oben ab- und von unten bei α zuströmen kann. Ueber den Lamellen C befindet sich ein Teller F, der ebenfalls mit Wasser gefüllt und mittelst der Rohre G mit dem Mantel verbunden ist. Der Teller F hat gleichzeitig den Zweck, das allzu schnelle Entweichen der Feuergase zu vermeiden ; der Rost besteht aus einem geneigt liegenden Rohrsystem, an dessen Seite eine durchlöcherte Platte H angebracht ist,. damit das Ausscheiden der Schlacken etc. leichter bewerkstelligt werden kann. Die Feuergase treten aus dem Mantelinnern in den Schornstein, welcher ebenfalls als Wasserbehälter doppelwandig eingerichtet ist und aufserdem ein flaches, spiralig gewundenes Rohr K enthält, in dem ebenfalls Wasser circulirt, und zwar mittelst der Communicationsrohre J und /. Von dem Mantel A aus gehen die Heizsträ'nge L, die entweder aus einfach geraden oder spiralig gewundenen Flachrohren gebildet sind und vermöge ihres geringen Wassergehaltes und der grofsen Strahlfläche nicht nur eine intensive Wärmeabgabe sichern, sondern auch eine lebhafte Circulation des Wassers bedingen. Die Heizstränge können an geeigneter Stelle mit Füllrohr M und Entlüftungshahn N versehen sein, sowie überhaupt die Rohre flach oder auf die hohe Kante gelegt angeordnet werden können.The furnace jacket is formed from the double walls AB , between which there is water.
