Description

.Process for partial tinning in front of sheet metal. The invention relates to a further development of the process protected by patent 3226go to unilateral * Tinning at the front. Sheet metal, the latter with a tin-repellent coating is provided from earth colors, which 'is burned on the sheet metal. _ Further Tests have shown that as tin-repellent substances -also clay or clays and the connections of the same, e.g. B. kaolin, as well as graphite can also be used can. These substances are finely rubbed onto the sheet with varnish, varnish or the like applied and baked on this, whereupon the sheet metal is tinned in a known manner will. The partially tinned sheet metal obtained in this way is on the untinned parts provided with a coating that protects the sheet metal against rusting and therefore also should remain on the sheet after tinning. The coating is due to the Burning is closely connected to the sheet metal and adheres firmly and permanently. the same so that when processing the sheet metal into everyday objects such. B. Food cans, does not jump off. For partial enamelling of objects made of copper, brass and nickel has already been proposed, the parts not to be enamelled with a protective layer made of graphite or. from silicic acid-containing substances in connection with clay to protect them from the action of acid and heat on the Protect the enamelling process. Here, however, these substances are applied to the finished product Objects and with. Stirred water applied. , It arises. consequently a Protective layer which does not adhere firmly and permanently to the parts to be protected, but is removed after the enamelling process. .
