Description
Artificial foot. The invention relates to an artificial foot and consists in making round spring steel to two: flat loops and two between the the latter located on the heel part and cushion these loops against each other Helical coil springs are bent in such a way that one, larger, of the two is flat Sanding roughly corresponds to the shape and size of the edge of the sole. The second, smaller one can be connected to the lower leg end of the pillar or the support rails etc. This training has the purpose of an elastic walking movement even on uneven ground to enable and to avoid shocks if the load is too high and the like.
In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown, for example, in an embodiment shown, namely Fig. R and 2 form and attachment of the artificial foot on a so-called skeletal prosthesis without ankle joint in the Side and ground plan, Fig.3 and .4 the connection. Of the artificial foot with a ordinary artificial leg.
The artificial foot has two flat loops a and b made of round spring steel and two helical coil springs c that cushion these loops against each other. The spring b is shown in FIG. and 2 connected to the prosthesis d and according to FIGS. 3 and 4 with the side rails e of the lower leg of the artificial leg in the usual manner.
The artificial foot acts as a two-armed, elastic lever that moves around the connection axis .r (Fig. 2 and 4) c11-elrt. As a result of the shape and elasticity of the lever can push and pull forces in different directions at the same time attack without affecting the main effect, d. ii., the Schwzben the toe, which is automatically raised, lowers when stepping on, when rolling off of the foot the heel is lifted. For the attachment it is essential that the Lower leg part reaches down deeply, but without touching the surface.
The shape and type of fastening of the round steel spring causes the foot movements not in jerks, but harmoniously, regardless of whether a lower leg part is worn with or without an ankle joint or whether it is a tubular prosthesis, Lower leg sleeve closed at the bottom, sleeve with double-sided splints. They are also independent of the nature of the soil surface.
The lower leg part of the replacement limb retains even under load its respective natural position because the artificial foot lent the lowering of the The tip of the foot when stepping on and the heel is lifted when rolling the foot for uneven ground so important - rotations around the longitudinal axis, d, h. Up and down of the inner or outer edge of the foot. This means that there is constant control of the eyes when putting the foot down in omission. If there is any overload, this will be Body weight is also absorbed by the lower leg part then touching the floor. Even in the case of damage to the artificial foot the carrier the replacement limb is not helpless, but walks on the stilt or the walking stirrup.
Given the cheapness of the material, the foot spring would have to be replaced may be most appropriate. The substitution can be done without difficulty be made by the carrier itself. If the size is right, the artificial foot will hold automatically in the boot: Urü to adapt the artificial foot to the natural shape, it is provided with a cloth, felt or leather covering, but it is enough pulling over a stocking stuffed with cotton wool, cellulose, wood wool and the like will.
If necessary, the weight of the foot can also be increased by any heavy Inlays in the fairing can be modified.
