Die in der Zeichnung dargestellte Sicherheitsvorrichtung gegen Saftverluste bei Diffusionsbatterien hat den Zweck, Saftverlusten, welche durch unrichtige Ventilstellungen bedingt werden, vorzubeugen. Zu diesem Behufe ist das Saftventil in eine Verbindung gebracht, welche das Oeffnen des letzteren nur dann gestattet, wenn ersteres geschlossen ist. Es wird dieses bewirkt durch den Bügel A, welcher auf der Verlängerungsstange des Ablafsventiles in passender Höhe zwischen zwei Stellringen befestigt ist und an der Auf- und Niederstellung derselben Theil nimmt. Der Bügel A ist mit einer länglichen Oeffnung versehen und mittelst Schraube B am Saftventil befestigt. Der obere Winkel des Bügels macht ein Aufstecken der Kurbel am Saftventil bezw. das Oeffnen desselben nur dann möglich, wenn sich der Bügel in seiner unteren Stellung befindet bezw. das Ablafsventil geschlossen ist.The purpose of the safety device against juice loss in diffusion batteries shown in the drawing is to prevent juice loss caused by incorrect valve positions.
