Abstract

A positive-displacement machine for compressible media has at least one impeller chamber which is arranged in a fixed casing and designed as a spiral-shaped slot, and, assigned to each impeller chamber and engaging therein, an impeller (displacer) which is likewise of spiral design and is arranged, as a strip-shaped bar, on a disc-shaped rotor which is eccentrically driven with respect to the casing. In this arrangement, at least one point of the rotor is acted on by a drive appliance which is responsible for the eccentric drive, and at least one further point, arranged at a distance therefrom, is acted on by a guide appliance. In order to avoid damage caused by differential expansion between the two points of action of the appliances, one of the appliances (4-6, 7-9) is to have at least one transmission member, whose length can be varied at least in the direction of the connection line (26) of the points of action and which is formed, for example, from a crosshead (slide block) (19) held in a displaceable manner in a parallel motion (20). <IMAGE>
