Der in der Zeichnung dargestellte Apparat hat den Zweck, den Rufs beim Reinigen des Kamins oder Schornsteins aufzufangen, um zu verhüten, dafs sich derselbe in der Küche oder in dem betreffenden Raum, wo der Kamin ausmündet, ablagert. Fig. 1 und 2 stellen die Seitenansicht dar bezw. letztere den Schnitt, in directer Verbindung mit dem zu reinigenden Rauchfang. Die Reinigungsthür α ist eingemauert und läuft in einem in den Kamin mündenden Rahmen b aus, auf dessen oberer Fläche der Schieber c lose aufliegt und sich mit seinen beiden Knaggen c¹ c² an dem Rahmen der Kaminthür α stützt. Auf diese Weise schliefst der Schieber c den Kamin oder Schornstein von der betreffenden Feuerstelle ab und stellt eine directe Verbindung mit der Auffangvorrichtung bezw. dem Behälter g her. In den doppelten Rahmen f der Kaminthür a greift der auf dem Verschlufsdeckel d schräg sitzende Kanal e hinein und wird mit dem Rahmen der Kaminthür α fest verbunden. Der Deckel d schliefst den Behälter g mittelst einer in einer Nuth liegenden Gummischnur k luftdicht ab. Beim Reinigen des Schornsteins, Kamins u. s. w., fällt nun der Rufs auf den Schieber c und gelangt der in Fig. 2 angegebenen Pfeilrichtung entsprechend durch den schräg liegenden Kanal e in den Behälter g, ohne mit der äufseren Luft in Berührung zu kommen.The purpose of the apparatus shown in the drawing is to absorb the call when cleaning the chimney or chimney, in order to prevent it from being deposited in the kitchen or in the room in question where the chimney opens.
