Abstract

Trickle filters having a packing of rock chips serve for biological waste water treatment and, when they are designed and charged according to known guidelines, have a so-called self-cleaning capacity, which permits the continuous operation required in sewage treatment plants. However, owing to natural weathering of the stone chips, and also owing to the fine sands carried by the waste water, after a relatively long operating time, deposits occur in the packing which greatly reduce the permeability and thus lead to a reduction in the purification efficiency. As an effective, but also highly expensive method for recovering the permeability, the occasionally practised emptying of the packing, batchwise washing and refilling of the trickle filters can be considered. The invention proposes, by means of the stationary installation of perforated or slotted washing tubes, which are introduced vertically into the packing and are connected to a washing water supply, to wash the packing over the entire filling depth and within a defined region of action in such a manner that all the deposits present in the interstitial spaces between the chips packing are washed out.

Description

Claims: 1. Device for rinsing a biological Filling goods that can be used for waste water treatment in the installed state, thereby marked e i c h e t that flushing pipes (1) formed by perforated or slotted pipes placed vertically in the filling material (2) of a trickling filter and exposed to rinsing water are.

2 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper End of the flushing pipes (1) outside of their use against the entry of dirt particles 3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it can be closed with a ventilation hood (4) characterized in that by delimiting the flushing water outlet from the flushing pipe (1) with the help of height-adjustable foot and head plugs with pressurized water connection (5 and 6) the flushing action is locally enhanced. The invention relates to an apparatus for rinsing a product that can be used for biological wastewater treatment in a built-in State.

Flushing pipes of this type have become known, for example, from AT-PS 329465. These known flushing pipes are attached in a row and perpendicular to rotating arms are moved in a circle through the product for rinsing.

The device is suitable for rinsing a product of less Density and grain size if, in addition, a suspension due to damming up of water of the product is achieved. The rinsing effect required to clean the product is effected under these conditions by the injection of compressed air and the dirty water is drawn off the surface using special devices.

In the case of biological wastewater treatment, especially in trickling filters fillers used in accordance with DIN 19 557 and the design of the containers according to DIN 19553, however, the use of the known device for flushing the Contents not possible.

The invention is based on the object of the filling material of a trickling filter free of clogging deposits when installed.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that by perforated or slotted tubes formed flushing tubes vertically in the contents of a Trickling filter are introduced and can be acted upon with rinsing water.

Expedient embodiments for a device according to the invention are the subject of claims 2 and 3.

A device used in this way for rinsing a product, as it is conventionally used in trickling filters for biological wastewater treatment is, represents a significant advantage for the operation of such systems because So far, an effective cleaning of the entire product only after clearing and Washing of the contents outside the container was possible.

The inventive device for rinsing the contents can natural void-free of the filling material already after a single application to a large extent restore and stay for a long time because of the increased self-cleaning capacity working.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown schematically.
