Description
The patent 260238 relates to a bottom slotted to form expandable legs, with outer and inner wood screw thread provided metal sleeve for receiving the for Fastening rails on wooden sleepers using screws. Subject of the present Invention 'is a metal neck of this type, but in which the outer wood screw thread has the same thread depth in the upper, non-slotted part of the sleeve, and slotted in the lower part Sleeve part, on the other hand, increases in thread depth from top to bottom so that when compressed Legs of the outer circumference of the outer screw thread extends cylindrically over the entire height of the sleeve. On the drawing is the new metal sleeve with unspread and not compressed Legs shown, through Fig. 1 in view, through Fig. 2 in the vertical Cut. Fig. 3 shows the sleeve with compressed, Fig. 4 with splayed legs.
The metal sleeve α is, like that according to the main patent, provided on its outside with a wood screw thread b which extends over the entire length of the sleeve. In the embodiment shown in the drawing, it is slit into four legs c. Inside the sleeve there is provided a wood screw thread d extending over its entire length, the thread depth of which, as in the arrangement according to the main patent, increases to the length of the slot from top to bottom, so that when the screw is screwed into the nut thread of the sleeve the legs formed by the slots c are spread, as a result of which they anchor themselves with the parts of the outer wood screw thread b belonging to them in the wood of the threshold into which the sleeve is screwed.
Die den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildende Verbesserung besteht nun darin, daß das äußere Holzschraubengewinde im oberen, nicht geschlitzten Teil der Hülse gleiche Gangtiefe hat, im unteren geschlitzten Hülsenteil dagegen von oben nach unten so an Gangtiefe zunimmt, daß bei zusammengedrückten Schenkeln der Außenumfang des äußeren Schraubengewindes in der ganzenThe improvement forming the subject of the invention is that the outer wood screw thread in the upper, non-slotted part of the sleeve is the same In contrast, in the lower slotted sleeve part from top to bottom, the thread depth is so on The thread depth increases so that when the legs are compressed, the outer circumference of the external screw thread throughout
die außen zunehmende Gangtiefe des Gewindes gerade unten an den Spreizschenkeln besonders günstig wirkt, weil dadurchThe height of the sleeve extends cylindrically in the manner shown in FIG. 3, so that the sleeve can be screwed extremely comfortably into the threshold hole in this state.
The improvement achieves the advantage that when the sleeve legs are spread apart, the thread depth, which increases on the outside, has a particularly favorable effect precisely at the bottom of the expansion legs, because it does so
xo immer tiefer und weiter nach außen liegende, frische Teile der Faserschichten des Schwellenholzes gefaßt werden, während die oberen Faserschichten, die unter dem Angriff der Schraubengänge am meisten zu leiden haben, wegen der hier belassenen niedrigen Schraubengänge geschont werden.xo ever deeper and further outward lying, fresh parts of the fiber layers of the sleeper timber are grasped, while the upper fiber layers, which suffer most from the attack of the screw threads, because of the low screw threads left here.
