Description

Verfahren zur Eierstellung von fertig zugerichteten Stereotypplatten durch Verstärkung der Rückseite der Matrize. Es ist bereits ein Verfahren zur Herstellung fertig zugerichteter Stereotypplatten bekannt, nach welchem eine Zurichtung der Rückseite der zum Gießen der Platte verwendeten Matrizen angelegt wird (vgl. f! anzösische Patentsc:irift 387oi5). Bisher sind diese Zurichtungen stets nur von Hand hergestellt worden; so daß sie von der Geschicklichkeit des Arbeiters abhängig sind. Nach der Erfindung werden nun die der Rückseite der Matrize anzulegenden Zurichtungen auf mechanischem Wege hergestellt. Zweckmäßig geschieht dies dadurch, daß man einen für Hochdruck bestimmten Druckstock nach Art einer Tiefdruckplatte in den Lichtern einfärbt und dann zur Herstellung eines negativen Bildabdruckes auf eine Kreidemasse o. dgl. benutzt. Diese Masse wird an den vom Bild nicht bedeckten Stellen durch Ätzung vertieft. Die so hergestellte Zurichtung wird hinter die geprägte Stereotypmatrize geklebt, und dann werden die Bleiplatten wie üblich gegossen. Durch dieses Verfahren werden die ganzen Vorteile der bisher nur für positive Druckstöcke bekannten mechanischen Zurichtung für die Stereotypie in vollstem Maße erzielt, weil die feinsten Schattierungsgrade die Höhenlage der Matrize beeinflussen und dementsprechend auch auf die gegossenen Platten übertragen werden.Process for making eggs from ready-made stereotype plates by reinforcing the back of the die.
