Bei solchen Sttfabetten sind außer den beiden Drehlagern Einrichtungen notwendig, um die Lagerstätte in jeder ihrer beiden Hauptlagen für jeden Drehsinn festzustellen und unbeabsichtigtes Umschlagen zu verhüten. Bei einer älteren solchen Einrichtung waren die Stirnenden der Lagerstätte durch längere pendelartige Hauptlenke:·, die nur Schwingungen auszuführen vermögen, und durch umschlagbare Nebenlenker mit den Stirnwänden des Bettgestells verbunden. Die Verbindung war also eine zweifache.
