Ein bevorzugtes Anwendungsgebiet ist das der Flach- oder Steildächer von Gebäuden, wobei die eigentlichen Dämmstoffbahnen zwischen je zwei Dachsparren eingepaßt werden und die Befestigung mittels Nägeln, Klammern oder dgl. erfolgt, die durch die besagten Randleisten hindurch und in die Dachsparren eingeschlagen werden.
