Um ein vorgegebenes Mischungsspektrum lückenlos technisch wie uch wirtschaftlich optimal zu bewältigen, ist es daher erwünscht, die wich- tigsten Kenndaten an den vorhandenen Maschinen in Grenzen verändern und enger an verschiedene Ausgangsbedingungen anpassen zu können. In Mischwalzwerken bezieht sich dies in erster Linie auf die allgemein als "Friktion" bezeichnete Differenz in den Umfangsgeschwindigkeiten der Walzen, während für Innenmischer die mit unterschiedlichen Winkelgeschwindigkeiten der ineinandergreifenden Rotoren verbundenen Änderungen der Spaltweite als vorteilhafte Wirkung angestrebt werden.
