Es ist also hier der z. B. bei Gewehr Modell 98 vorhandene Druckbolzen, der erst ,beim Schließen des Verschlusses durch Anstoß gegen die Hülsenbrücke ausgelöst wird, nicht mehr erforderlich. Der Schutzdeckel α umgibt das Schloß derart, daß er sich zusammen mit diesem innerhalb der Hülsenbrücke i verschieben läßt. An seinem vorderen Ende ist noch 'ein Absatz / vorgesehen, der so liegt, daß er beim Zurückziehen des Schlosses zwecks öffnens des Verschlusses gegen den Schloßhalter k trifft und hierdurch die Bewegung des Schlosses begrenzt. Die an der Kammer in bekannter Weise vorgesehene linke Verriegeln ngswarze m wird hierdurch gegen einseitige Abnutzung geschützt, so daß eine stets g'eich gute Verriegelung stattfindet. Außerdem reiaht der Schutzdeckel hier so an die Warze heran, daß sich Schmutz nicht ansammeln und die Verriegelung erschweren kann. Die hinter dem Absatz / liegende Fläche 0 des Schutzdeckels α wirkt mit einem Hebelarm p des drehbar gelagerten Auswerfers q zusammen. Dieser Auswerfer ist im dargestellten Falle an die Unterseite des Schlosses verlegt und greift mit seiner Nase in eine entsprechend liegende Nut der Kammer ein, wenn das Schloß ungefähr ganz zurückgezogen ist. Vor dieser Zeit und bei geschlossenem Verschluß wird der Auswerfer mit seiner Nase durch die volle Fläche der Kammer nach unten gedrückt, so daß sein hinterer Arm p nach oben vorragt (Abb. 2), und sich in die Bahn des Absatzes j bzw. der Fläche 0 legt. Kurz vor Erreichung der Endbewegung des Schlosses trifft die sich an dem Absatz j anschließende Fläche 0 gegen den Hebelarm/) des Auswerfers und drückt diesen mit seiner Nase zwangläufig in die vordere Nut der Kammer ein, so daß die Patronenhülse ausgeworfen wird.
