Description
The invention relates to a headlight, in particular for Motor vehicles, with a transparent cover plate, the has a smooth outer surface and a variety of grids shaped in rows with lens bodies arranged side by side a focal point and an axis is formed, and with a light source on the inside of the cover plate.
Such a headlight is known (US-PS 34 87 206). Here a reflector is featured on the inside of the cover plate see, in the focal point of which the light source is arranged. This leads to a parallel beam of light that passes through a color filter through on the convex lens body of the Ab cover plate falls. The lens bodies are made in the same way formed and arranged with parallel axes. You control that light hitting each one opening on the Au attached to the outside of the cover plate, so that each a single light beam runs out of the opening. The thereby achieved total radiation makes it intended as a signal light Headlights clearly visible from lateral directions.
Such reflector headlights have the disadvantage that they are because the dimensions of the reflector require a large space in rich direction of the reflector axis. So it can be difficult to integrate the headlight into the vehicle body, ins especially if the cover plate has a strong tendency to verti kalen should be arranged. This leads to another Enlargement of the space requirement and also to optical Schwie difficulties. Incidentally, a headlight with a go far not masking the outer surface of the cover plate as Headlights with directed light beam (headlights with High beam or low beam), even if the color filter is omitted.
The invention has for its object a headlight of the type mentioned in a compact flat design form, so that it can be used well in slippery bodies can be installed, with the emitted light beam a should have predetermined light distribution.
This object is achieved by the characterizing Part of claim 1 specified features solved.
Light-guiding busbars, the light at the rear end a light source is concentrated and the light guide nen with stepped thickness and with light emission sections are fanned out, aligned with the lens body tet are known (US Pat. No. 4,172,631). This optical an however, order is not for use with a headlamp provided, but is specifically for the screening of micro fiches and to generate corresponding images on one Umbrella provided. There are also only similar and parallel aligned lens body is provided, which in verbin with a masking with openings beam of light and a diffuse radiation from the screen to lead. Individual microfiche areas are different where individual light beams are illuminated and imaged. These optical arrangement therefore appears for use with a Headlights unsuitable.
It is only by observing the above-mentioned measures that that a Ge composed of the individual light bundles velvet light beam results instead of a diffuse radiation leads to a directed radiation, as it does for one Motor vehicle headlights is required. By use the light guide busbar in conjunction with the Choice of small focal lengths for the lens body allows the Space requirement of the headlight in the depth to an amount un lower than 50 mm. In addition, the individual Arrange the lens body in positions that relate to one of the corresponding body shape corresponding outer shape of the cover disc are adjusted. Nevertheless, it can be achieved that a divergent Ge having the desired light distribution bundle of light exits.
Appropriate further training that radiates from Ab concern glare, result from the subclaims.
Es zeigtAn embodiment of the invention is described below a schematic drawing explained in more detail. It shows
Fig. 1 eine Schrägansicht auf die Innenseite der Abdeck scheibe und die ihr zugeordnete Lichtleitsammel schiene und Fig. 1 is an oblique view of the inside of the cover plate and the associated light guide rail and
Fig. 2 is a partial vertical section through the cover plate with the front end of a light guide.
In the embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS . 1 and 2, a cover plate 13 has an outer surface 14 and an inner surface 15 and a plurality of lens bodies 16 arranged side by side. Each lens body 16 has an axis 17 , the different axes 17 diverging from the inner surface 15 to the outer surface 14 of the cover plate 13 . The focal point F 'of each lens body 16 is arranged on the side of the inner surface 15 of the cover plate 13 . The focal lengths of the different lens bodies 16 are different and become larger, for example, from top to bottom. However, it is also possible to use changing or identical focal lengths according to another rule.
There is a fanned in light guide rails 19 Lichtleit busbar is provided to the focus F 'of each lens body 16 in the form of a virtual light source, the radiation of a remote real light source 18 , which is formed in the example shown by a lamp filament.
Several lens bodies 16 arranged in a vertical row are each assigned a common light guide rail 19 , the front end of which extends with a stepped thickness over the inner surface 15 of the cover plate 13 along the corresponding lens body column.
Each lens body 16 opposite the rail 19 has a trained in the example shown as a step or inclined surface th light exit portion 20 , which has been provided, for example, with a metal coating to improve its reflectivity, so that part of the emitted from the light source 18 and with the Rail 19 passed light rays on section 20 in the direction of the corresponding lens body 16 : a0 deflected and from the focal point F 'of this lens body 16 seems to come to be on the outer surface 14 of the cover plate 13 in the form of an axis 17 of the lens body 16 from To exit the light beam.
Referring to FIG. 1, the different light refractive elements of the cover plate 13 arranged next to one another in vertical rows 16, each of which is powered by a Lichtleitschiene 19th The individual rails 19 emerge at their rear end from the light guide busbar which has a transversely directed rear end 21 opposite the light source 18 . In order to emit the light emitted by the light source 18 when the latter is fed with electrical current, to bundle the end face of the rear end 21 , an elliptical reflector 22 is provided, for example.
The lens body 16 forming the cover plate 13 could also be arranged in horizontal rows, each of which would be illuminated with a rail 19 . Furthermore, rows of lens bodies 16 and / or the assigned sections of the light guide rails 19 for partially masking out the individual light beams for the purpose of emitting a low beam can be configured. The light guide rails 19 in question can then also converge in a light guide bus bar which is assigned a light source for low beam.
The lens body 16 can be formed, for example, with a square shape in plan view with an edge length of 30 mm and a focal length of 30 mm, which results in a thickness of approximately 7.5 mm for a rail 19 ; compared to a cover plate of 250 mm width, eight rails 19 are then arranged in the manner shown in FIG. 1. By summarizing these rails 19 arises at their common rear end 21 an area of 20 mm 2 , which is easily captured over the entire surface by the image of the light source 18 via the ellipsoidal reflector 22 .
