Abstract

Heat insulating panels are placed between the rafters inside the roofs of buildings in order to prevent heat transmission. They are made pref. of expanded polystyrene. At least one side of each panel has a group of concertina-like corrugations, parallel to the rafters which give when compressed across the wavy profile. The height of the corrugations corresponds to the thickness of the panel. At the ends perpendicular to the rafters, the panels have a stepped rebate. This allows a ready adjustment to variations in the spacing of the roof rafters.

Description

The invention relates to a thermal insulation board made of foam plastic, preferably made of expandable polystyrene, which is used in loft conversions for the purpose of thermal insulation is intended for installation between rafters.

So far, thermal insulation panels are rectangular panels with fixed, given dimensions. So they form a kind of cuboid with six to each other rectangular faces. The width of the thermal insulation panels must be as clear as possible The distance between the rafters corresponds to no uninsulated spaces or Gaps between the thermal insulation board and the neighboring rafters arise too permit.

A significant disadvantage, however, is the fact that the clear Distances between the individual rafters turn out different and thus a fixed, specified width of the individual thermal insulation panels is not sufficient is to ensure that the clear space between the rafters is or to be filled in without any gaps. In other cases, the width dimension of the thermal insulation board be too large, so that a subsequent processing and adjustment of the thermal insulation board is required.

The invention is based on the object of providing a thermal insulation panel To design the type mentioned at the beginning so that an exact adjustment of the width dimension different rafter spacing is no longer required.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the thermal insulation board has at least one group of wave-like profiles parallel to the Rafters run and when subjected to compressive stress they run across the corrugated profile are compliant.

The thermal insulation panels according to the invention are therefore continuous in zones profiled in such a wave-like manner that a sufficient Width reduction is made possible without a compression or even a break of the To have to fear thermal insulation board.

As a rule, you will get by with a few standard sizes can always achieve exact thermal insulation with any rafter spacing to be able to.

Further features of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing explained. They show: FIG. 1 a cross section through one between two rafters built-in thermal insulation plate according to the invention, Figure 2 in isometric Projection of a thermal insulation board with wave-like arranged on the outside Profiling, Figure 3 in isometric projection a thermal insulation board with in the middle arranged wave-like profiles and Figure 4 shows a cross section along the section line IV-IV in Figure 1 parallel to the course of the rafters.

The thermal insulation panels shown in Figures 1-3 each have the wave-like profiles according to the invention 1. These wave-like profiles 1 each consist of a fold saddle 2, a fold trough 3 and the fold legs 4 together. The fold legs 4 run to the central plane enclosed by them preferably at an angle, so that the fold legs 4 with the associated fold saddle 2 or the associated fold depression 3 are each approximately V-shaped. the Profile height H preferably corresponds at least approximately to the thickness D of a thermal insulation board. The width dimension B of the individual thermal insulation panels depends on the number and design the wave-like profiles 1 at different distances between the rafters 6, 6 'adjustable, the adaptation by pressure on the outer side surfaces 5, 5 'of the thermal insulation board profiling takes place.

To ensure a good seal also on the transverse to the wave-like profiles 1 running butt joints 7, are those in the butt joints 7 adjoining end faces 8, 8 'of the thermal insulation panels with a stepped rebate 9 provided. In principle, two or more folds can also be provided to to get a kind of labyrinth seal.

The thermal insulation board made of foam plastic according to the invention can preferably made of expandable polystyrene. However, others can be Use foamable plastics, provided that they are used in conjunction with the shape of the wave-like profiles sufficient elasticity own.
