Description
In the method for producing topographical plans according to patent 281024 , the use of the bright time of day was an indispensable condition.
Dieselben unterscheiden sich in ihrer Technik, wie folgt, voneinander:The requirements of war now suggest the idea of cartographic Plans of enemy positions at night, d. H. with flash bombs. The new process is designed for flying machine and airship shots. They differ in their technique as follows, from each other:
In Fig. Ι and 2 the method for the flying machine and in Fig. 3 and 4 for the airship is shown. Recording with the flying machine requires a double camera (Fig. 2), the lenses A and B of which are triggered one after the other during the flight.
If one assumes that the flying machine is in C , then at this moment a flashlight bomb D, which triggers a light circle cone over the terrain at a height de determined by time ignition, is dropped. With lens A already open beforehand, an image of the area on the plate is obtained when the bomb ignites. After about 10 seconds after the flashlight bomb is dropped, a second flashlight bomb is now dropped; a second image of the terrain on the second plate is then obtained in the camera with the lens B, which now covers the first image. These two recordings, viewed together in a stereo, provide a relief of the terrain. The recordings can be photogeodetically oriented to one another by means of the known terrain points I, II, III, which are mapped together on both plates, and which can possibly be taken from an existing map. Likewise, the location of the flying machine at the moment of recording in C and F, i.e. the flight route, can be determined. This flight route forms the baseline of the two overarching recordings.
Let us lay both plates according to the now known photogrammetric constant ratio into two photo-geodetically oriented projection apparatus, so arises the common table level a relief of the. Area recorded at night, that can be measured.
The procedure in the airships (Fig. 3) employs two separate photographic cameras I and K as shown in Fig. 4. in advance. They are coupled to one another at a certain distance LM , and at the moment of the simultaneous recording by the two auxiliary cameras N and 0, the mutual position of the two apparatuses to one another (inclination and azimuth) is also photographed. With this arrangement it is sufficient to throw off a single flash bomb P (Fig. 3), which shines for a few seconds, and the two cameras /
und K samt ihren Hilfskameras N und O gleichzeitig auszulösen.and to release K together with their auxiliary cameras N and O at the same time.
As with the flying machine, the card production can also be done by two oriented projection apparatus based on the measuring table method or by the mechanical applicator for inclined axes.
