Description
The present invention relates to glasses for eye training in the case of visual impairments, which are also referred to as pinhole glasses or pinhole glasses. In particular, the present invention relates to such glasses that can be used preventively for eye training.
In general, 80 to 90% of all information about our environment is taken in with our eyes. In recent years, the flood of visual data from print media, television, computers, information terminals, etc. has increased significantly, placing extremely one-sided demands on our sense of sight. For example, when working on a screen, only around 35% of the visual functions involved in the visual process are used, and 65% of the visual perception options are hardly or not used at all. This places one-sided strain on the eyes, and in the long run, we forget how to see in other ways, limiting our diverse possibilities for visual perception.
Um einer derartigen Entwicklung vorzubeugen bzw. diese aufzuhalten oder zu verlangsamen, sind sogenannte Rasterbrillen bekannt, bei denen statt der optischen Korrekturgläser gewölbte dunkle Plastikscheiben mit einer VielzahlIn order to prevent or stop or slow down such a development, so-called grid glasses are known, in which instead of optical corrective lenses, curved dark plastic discs with a multitude of

In ophthalmology, such grid glasses are known as stenopeic glasses. The image seen by a user through such glasses initially consists of many individual segments that can be focused very sharply even by people with poor vision. The brain puts these individual segments together to form a uniform overall image in which the grid pattern is barely noticeable. The small holes increase the depth of field and both the near and far areas can be seen clearly at the same time.
When relaxed and not ametropia-positive, the light-permeable and bundling media of the eyes (cornea, aqueous humor, pupil, lens and vitreous body) form a sharp, upside-down overall image on the respective retina inside them. A stressed and ametropia-positive eye cannot always do this, or can no longer do it at every distance. In such a case, the incoming light rays are not bundled on the retina, but in front of or behind it (see Figure 7).
With pinhole glasses, the incoming light is bundled and directed through the small holes in front of the eye without refracting the light. This means that only the light rays that are directed directly at the center of the retina - the fovea centralis, the place of the highest contrast and therefore sharpest visual impression - can flow into the eye. All others are held back by the opaque disc (see Figure 8). The almost sharp image stimulates the brain to use the eye muscles for the remaining focusing.
Dadurch wird die Durchblutung des gesamten Auges und die am Sehen beteiligte Hirnaktivität gefördert (Endlich wieder klar sehen durch die Rasterbrille, Südwest Verlag, 1999).Wearing a pair of pinhole glasses therefore promotes the activity of the eyes by alternating between fixing and letting the gaze wander. This stimulates the gaze to become more mobile, which makes the eye muscles more flexible and sensitive. This promotes blood circulation throughout the eye and the brain activity involved in vision (Endlich wieder klar sehen durch die Rasterbrille, Südwest Verlag, 1999).
However, these conventional pinhole glasses have the disadvantage that they cannot be used by different users, i.e. users with different eye positions and/or visual acuity.
The present invention is based on the object of providing improved, in particular more versatile, pinhole glasses for eye training in the case of visual impairments. This object is achieved with the features of the protection claims.
The invention is based on the basic idea of making the size of the aperture variable so that users with different visual acuity can use the glasses, and/or making the position of the aperture adjustable so that the glasses can be optimally used by users with different eye positions.
Es zeigen:A preferred embodiment of the glasses according to the invention is explained below by way of example with reference to the drawings. They show:

Figure 8 shows the principle of a raster or pinhole spectacle, in which the directed light rays hit the center of the retina.
Figures 1 and 6 show a preferred embodiment of the pinhole glasses 2 according to the invention. The glasses 2 have a conventional glasses frame 4 with a bridge 6 and side-mounted temples 8. In the frame 4, a diaphragm device 10 is provided on at least one side, which is designed to be adjustable with regard to the size of the diaphragm opening 12 and/or its position. Preferably, in the glasses 2 according to the invention, both the size of the diaphragm opening 12 and its position can be adjusted.
In order to adjust the size of the aperture opening 12, a rotating device in the form of an aperture wheel 14 is provided on the aperture device 10 in the preferred embodiment. A number of aperture openings 12 of different sizes are arranged around the circumference of the rotating device 14 (Figures 4 and 5). In the embodiment of the rotating device 14 shown in Figure 5, eight aperture openings 12 are provided distributed around the circumference and provided with a label 16 and a positioning aid in the form of projections 18. The rotating device 14 with the aperture openings 12 is attached to the aperture device 10 so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis 20. A marking 22 is also provided on the aperture device 10 so that by adjusting one of the projections 18 to the marking 22, one of the aperture openings 12 is aligned with a recess 24 in the lens device 10 to enable a user to look through the corresponding aperture opening 12.
Dazu ist dann in der Einstelleinrichtung 28 eine Aufnahmeöffnung 36 vorgesehen, durch die der zweite Vorsprung 34 drehbar hindurchgeführt ist, um auf derTo adjust the position of the aperture opening 12, a guide groove or opening 26 is provided in the aperture device 10, into which guide means formed on an adjustment element 28 engage. The guide means are preferably formed in the form of two pin-like projections 30 and 34 formed on the adjustment element 28, which protrude through the guide opening 26 and engage with a holding element 32 on the side of the aperture device 10 opposite the adjustment element 28. In particular, it is preferred to form the projection 30 in one piece with the adjustment element 28 and to provide a second projection 34 as the axis of rotation 20 of the rotating device 14. For this purpose, a receiving opening 36 is provided in the adjustment device 28, through which the second projection 34 is rotatably guided in order to
With this preferred embodiment, a combination of the positionability of the diaphragm opening 12 and adjustability of the size of the diaphragm opening 12 is ensured at the same time.
To adjust the position of the aperture opening 12 relative to the aperture device 10 fixed in the mount 4, the adjustment element 28 can be moved freely within the guide opening 26 together with the holding element 32 and preferably also together with the rotating device 14. The stops are formed by the projections 30 and 34 provided as guide means. For better handling and easier positioning, scales 38 are provided on the holding element 32, preferably on all sides, which interact with markings 40 provided on the aperture device 10.
The aperture devices 10 are made of an opaque material, such as black plastic material, and are fitted into the frame 4 of the glasses 2. The individual parts of the aperture arrangement are preferably injection-molded parts. This makes it easy to manufacture the pinhole glasses 2 according to the invention, so that not only are glasses that can be optimally adjusted provided, but the manufacturing costs are also minimized.
