Claims

1. Chain, in particular a hoist chain, made of oval round steel links, at least some of which are provided with markings, characterized in that marking carriers ( 1 ; 12 ; 14 ) are used to attach the markings, which are designed as plastic webs arranged between the longitudinal legs ( 2 , 3 ) of the round steel links ( 4 ) and bridging the clear interior of these links ( 4 ).

3. Chain according to claim 1, characterized in that the identification carriers ( 1 ; 12 ) consisting of an elastic material are formed in one piece and are clamped between the longitudinal legs ( 2 , 3 ).

7. Chain according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the ends ( 5 , 6 ) of the identification carriers ( 1 ; 14 ) are wider than their middle parts ( 7 ).

Chain according to claim 7, characterized in that the middle parts ( 7 ) of the identification carriers ( 1 ; 14 ) have troughs ( 8 , 9 ) into which the bows of round steel links ( 10 , 11 ) protrude, which are suspended in the round steel link ( 4 ) provided with the respective identification carrier ( 1 ; 14 ).
