Bei der Benutzung herkömmlicher Schminkbrillen erweisen sich die seitlichen Bügel als Störfaktor. Der Stirnreif (Fig. 1) ist einem Haarreif ähnlich, der allerdings vor die Stirn gesetzt wird. An seiner Innenseite sind über den Augenbrauen Abstandhalter (Fig.2; 1) angebracht, die die Brillengläser senkrecht vor dem Auge in Position halten. Die Brillengläser werden mittels Scharnier (Fig. 3; 1) außen an dem Reif befestigt, so daß sie einzeln klappbar sind. Dieses ermöglicht nicht nur Bewegungsfreiheit nahe des jeweils zu schminkenden Auges, sondern auch geschützte Gläser bei der Aufbewahrung. Hierzu werden die Gläser um 270° (in den Reif) geklappt (Fig. 4).The headband (Fig. 1) is similar to a hairband, but is placed in front of the forehead.
