Für die Anordnung von bildlichen Werbedarstellungen ist die Verwendung von Savonius-Rotoren in Fußgängerbereichen an sich bekannt. Im erfindungsgemäßen Vorschlag wird ein Savonius-Rotor gleichzeitig zur Erzeugung von Energie eingesetzt mit dem Ziel, diese Energie für Beleuchtungszwecke des Rotors oder andere energetische Maßnahmen im Zusammenhang mit der beabsichtigten Werbung einzusetzen. Bedingt durch die aerodynamischen Eigenschaften des Savonius-Rotors erfordert die Stromerzeugung große Flächen für den auftreffenden Wind. Diese großen Flächen sind besonders geeignet als Träger für bildliche Darstellungen in der Werbung oder als Hinweisgeber beispielsweise auf dem Außengelände von Messen, von Einkaufszentren oder bei Ortseinfahrten, insbesondere da ein Savonius-Rotor in der vorgesehenen Größe nur sehr niedrige Drehzahlen erreicht, mit denen einerseits die Aufmerksamkeit von Betrachtern geweckt wird, gleichzeitig aber auch ausreichend Zeit zum Erfassen der Werbebotschaft gegeben ist.
Eine weitere Eigenschaft des vorgeschlagenen Rotors ist die Aufspannung der windwirksamen Flächen aus einem geeigneten Segeltuch, das ein schnelles Wechseln und damit den Austausch der Werbebotschaft ohne aufwendige Montagearbeiten zuläßt. Die Erfindung wird nachfolgend an einem Ausführungsbeispiel beschrieben:
