Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schrank aus Metallblech, vorzugsweise zur Aufnähme von Elektronikgeräten und -bauteilen, bestehend aus einem quaderförmigen einstückigen Schrankgehäuse und einer Front- sowie einer Rücktüre.The invention relates to a cabinet made of sheet metal, preferably for accommodating electronic devices and components, consisting of a cuboid-shaped one-piece cabinet housing and a front and a rear door.

Derartige Schränke werden im Bereich der Kommunikationstechnik in Industrie, Verwaltung und Dienstleistungsbereichen in sog. Netzwerkslösungen eingesetzt. Beim Einsatz dieser Schränke hat sich herausgestellt, daß in Einzelfällen die verfügbare Schrankinnentiefe zur Aufnahme extrem tiefer Einbauten, wie großer End-Server, nicht ausreicht. Da es sich einmal um Einzelfälle handelt und die Anforderung auf diese extreme Gehäusetiefe sich oftmals auch erst später ergibt, ist es aus terminlichen und wirtschaftlichen Gründen nicht sinnvoll, derart extrem tiefe Schränke zu bevorraten. Dabei sollen keine baulichen Anpaßarbeiten oder Änderungen von Bauteilen, sondern nur Montagevorgänge wie z.B. Schrauben, erforderlich sein. Die vorhandenen Bauteile der Grundbauform des Schranks sollen ausnahmslos verwendet werden. Die Vergrößerung der Schrankinnentiefe soll auch an der Baustelle möglich und durch Hilfskräfte ohne Spezialkenntnisse herzustellen sein. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung wird dadurch gelöst, daß das Schrankgehäuse aus einem Grundgehäuse und einer rahmenförmigen Gehäuseverlängerung aus Metallblech-Profil besteht. Bei diesem Schrank ist die Gehäuseverlängerung zwischen dem Grundgehäuse und der Rücktüre angeordnet und wird über die gleichen Befestigungsmittel an den gleichen Befestigungsstellen am Grundgehäuse befestigt wie die Türscharniere. Die Befestigungsmittel können z.B. Schrauben sein. Zur Befestigung der Türscharniere an der Gehäuseverlängerung weist diese türseitig die gleichen Befestigungsstellen in Form, Art und Lage wie im Grundgehäuse vorhanden auf.The object of the invention is achieved in that the cabinet housing consists of a base housing and a frame-shaped housing extension made of sheet metal profile.
