Storage for table linen

The innovation relates to a shelf for table linen, in particular for tablecloths, with which (shelf) such table linen can be optimally stored when not in use.

It is common to store table linen folded in cupboards etc. The disadvantage of this is that creases form during storage and these prevent a smooth surface after the table linen has been laid out on a table.

The aim of the innovation is to show a storage that avoids these disadvantages. To solve this problem, a storage device is designed in accordance with claim 1.

When storing the table linen (e.g. tablecloth) according to the new regulations, it is rolled up and stored on the dome. Rolling up is preferably done immediately after ironing or mangling the table linen.

The innovative storage method prevents wrinkles, so that the table linen actually forms a completely smooth surface. Further developments of the innovation are the subject of the subclaims. The innovation is explained in more detail below using the figures of an exemplary embodiment. They show:

Fig. 1 in simplified representation and in plan view a tablecloth together with

In the figures, 1 is a tablecloth and 2 is a mandrel made, for example, from plastic, which has a circular-cylindrical peripheral surface concentrically enclosing the longitudinal axis of the mandrel and, for example, has an outer diameter

of approximately 50 mm. The length of the dome 2 is greater than the maximum width of the tablecloth 1, which in the embodiment shown has a rectangular cut.

Along a surface line of the dome 2, a bracket 3 is provided on the outside of this dome, which is attached at one end to the mandrel 2 at 4 so that it can pivot around an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the dome, and at the other end can be locked to the circumference of the dome 2 by means of a lock 5. By unlocking the lock 5, the bracket 3 can be opened so that one end of the tablecloth 1 can be inserted into the area between the peripheral surface of the dome 2 and the bracket 3, and the bracket 3 can then be closed again by locking it at the lock 5. This then makes it possible to roll up the tablecloth 1 lying on a surface, for example on a table, by unrolling the dome 2 onto it. In the opposite way, it is also possible to apply the tablecloth wound up on a mandrel to a table by unrolling the mandrel 2 with the wound up tablecloth 1 onto the table surface.

Figures 2 and 3 show a shelf 6 for several mandrels 2 with tablecloths 1 wound up on them. The shelf 6, which is designed like a shelf, for example, comprises several bars 7 on which the mandrels 2 can then be placed, each with a tablecloth 1 or other table linen, etc.

For example, plastic is suitable for the production of mandrels 2.

The innovation was described above using an example embodiment. It goes without saying that changes and modifications are possible without thereby departing from the inventive concept underlying the innovation.

The tablecloth 1 can be wound onto the respective mandrel 2 preferably immediately while ironing or mangling the tablecloth. For this purpose it is then possible for example to provide a holder on the mangling machine in question, with

the mandrel 2 is rotated so that the respective tablecloth is already wound onto the mandrel when it leaves the ironer.

Claims (7)

Protection claims 1. Storage for tablecloths or similar table linen, characterized by at least one mandrel (2) onto which the respective table linen (1) can be wound for storage and/or when not in use. 2. Shelf according to claim 1, characterized in that the mandrel (2) has a length that is equal to or greater than a width of the table linen (1). 3. Shelf according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a holder, for example in the form of at least one bracket (3) for securing the table linen to the mandrel (2) is provided on the mandrel (2). 4. Storage according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mandrel has a circular-cylindrical peripheral surface concentrically enclosing the mandrel longitudinal axis. 5. Tray according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mandrel has an outer diameter greater than 30 mm. 6. Shelf according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the mandrel (2) is made of plastic or wood. 7. Storage according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a preferably shelf-like holder (6) for receiving and depositing several mandrels (2).
