Zentimetermaßband mit rückseitiger Durchmesserteilung Beschreibung
Handelsübliche Maßbänder haben lediglich eine Zentimeter/Millimeter-Teilung, wie in Fig. 1 angedeutet.
Mit einer Zusatzskala in der Teilung 1 . y\ läßt sich aus einer Um— fangsmessung eines Rundkörpers dessen Durchmesser direkt ablesen, siehe Fig. 2.
Dazu wird das Maßband mit der 1 . f\ -Teilung so um den Rundkörper gelegt, daß beim Nullpunkt der Skala das angezeigte Maß der Schlinge abzulesen ist.
Fig. 3 zeigt beispielsweise einen Durchmesser von etwa 12,1 cm an.
Ausführung
Das Maßband sollte möglichst schmal sein, um den Meßfehler besonders im unteren Bereich (0=1-5 cm) klein zu halten. Die Skalenteilung muß über die ganze Breite des Maßbandes gehen, damit eine eindeutige Ablesung gewährleistet ist.

1. Maßband mit Durchmesserteilung dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß neben der 1 = Zentimeter/Millimeterteilung eine zusätzliche Skala für Durchmesser 0=1 . JI angebracht wird.
