Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kastenmöbqlstück mit einem zur Frontseite offenen, obere, untere und seitliche Wandplatten aufweisenden Korpus und einer die offene Frontseite verschließende Tür oder Klappe oder einem Schubkasten. Fig. 1 veranschaulicht die einfachste Grundform eines Kastenmöbelstücks mit einem Korpus 10, der seitliche sowie obere und untere Wandplatten 12,14,16,18 und eine Rückwand 20 aufweist. Diese Wandplatten 12,14,16,18 sind so zusammengesetzt, daß eine vordere Öffnung 22 entsteht, die beispielsweise durch eine nicht gezeigte Tür verschlossen werden kann. Auf den in Fig. 1 nicht bezeichneten Vorderkanten der Wandplatten 12,14,16,18 befindet sich ein durchgehendes Dämpfungsprofil mit Profilabschnitten 24,26,28,30. Derartige Profile werden insbesondere bei Möbelstücken aus Holzspanplatten verwendet, da andernfalls nur mit hohem Aufwand eine glatte Oberfläche an den Kanten zu erzielen wäre. Durch das Abschlußprofil 34 hindurch und in die Vorderkante 32 hinein ist eine Nut 36 eingefräst, die parallel zur Ebene der Wandplatte 18 über die gesamte Länge der Vorderkante 32 verläuft. Diese Nut 36 dient zur Aufnahme eines Steges 38 eines Dämpfungsprofils 40, das in Fig. 3 in größerem Maßstab gezeigt ist. Das. Dämpfungsprofil ist ein Extrusionsprofil aus einem elastischen Material, insbesondere Kunststoff. Es umfaßt eine flache Grundfläche 42, die in der montierten Stellung mit der in Fig. 3 unten liegenden Seite, gegen die Vorderkanten der Wandplatten des Korpus anliegt.
