Claims (7)

1. Seitenairbagsystem für ein Kraftfahrzeug mit einem oder mehreren in einem Dach­ rahmen- und/oder Fenstersäulenbereich des Kraftfahrzeugs oberhalb eines Seiten­ fensters nebeneinander angeordneten und dort im desaktivierten Zustand zusammen­ gelegt untergebrachten Airbag bzw. Airbags, der bzw. die sich im aktivierten Zustand als von dem Dachrahmenbereich ausgehende Abdeckung vor dem Seitenfenster erstreckt bzw. erstrecken, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass einzelne Kammern des Airbags (3) oder die Airbags (3a bis 3e) jeweils über ein Ventil (6) unmittelbar mit einem im Dachrahmen- und Fenstersäulenbereich (1) ange­ ordneten und von wenigstens einem Gasgenerator (7) beblasbaren Gasleitkanal (5) ver­ bunden und mit Gas befüllbar sind, und dass die Ventile (6; 6.1, 6.2) mit einer elektro­ nischen Steuereinheit (12) verbunden und durch diese unabhängig voneinander steuerbar sind.1.
