Wasserdurchtritts-reduzierende Oberflächenabdeckung von Ablagerungen, wie Deponien, Halden, Altlasten oder dergleichen, wobei oberhalb über den Ablagerungen ein flächiges Wasser­ sperrgebilde, umfassend feinstkörnige Gemische mit quellfähigen Tonmineralien, angeordnet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß oberhalb des flächigen Wassersperrgebildes oder beidseitig, vorzugsweise dieses Gebilde umschließend, selbiges von einer feinkörnigen, chemisch und/oder physikalisch feuchtespeichern­ den Schicht mit auch teilweise bindigem Charakter abgedeckt oder eingebettet ist, derart, daß Austrocknungen des Wasser­ sperrgebildes mit der Folge von Undichtigkeit und/oder irreversiblen Zerstörungen wirksam verhinderbar sind.1.
