Dieses Gerät ist insbesondere für die zahnärztliche Praxis ausgebildet und dementsprechend mit hohem apparativen Zusatzaufwand realisiert, und demgemäß unter anderem durch die vorgesehene Einbindung der zahnärztlichen Sonde in die in einer Zahnarztpraxis vorhandenen zahnärztlichen Gerätschaften, insbesondere dem vorhandenen Computersystem, für den privaten häuslichen Bereich außerhalb einer Zahnarztpraxis ungeeignet. In individuell unterschiedlichen Zeitabständen oder auch bei anderweitigem Bemerken eines Zahndefektes oder bei Zahnschmerzen kann der Nutzer das Zahnbürstenaufsteckteil durch Öffnen der Sicherungshalterung 11 abnehmen und es durch eines der als Zahnuntersuchungseinheiten 7 oder 9 ausgebildeten Aufsteckteile 3 ersetzen. Sobald über den Kabelanschluß 5 und ein entsprechendes Kabel die Verbindung zum herkömmlichen Fernsehgerät oder einen anderen geeigneten Monitor hergestellt ist, kann durch entsprechendes Betätigen eines Bedienknopfes die Zahnuntersuchungseinheit (Videokamera, Ultraschalleinrichtung oder andere geeignete Einrichtung) in Betrieb gesetzt und durch Einführen des Kopfteiles 8 des Gerätes und Entlangführen an den Zahnbereichen die prophylaktische Selbstuntersuchung durchgeführt werden. Claims

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that an attachment part (3) designed as a tooth examination unit comprises a video camera (7) arranged in a head part (8) and functional elements for operating the video camera (7), whereby the video camera (7) records the condition of the teeth and transmits the data via a conductor, a contact (6) and the cable connection (5) for the direct display of the images recorded by the video camera (7) on the screen of a connected monitor.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that an attachment part (3) designed as a tooth examination unit comprises an ultrasound device (9) arranged in a head part (8) and functional elements for operating the ultrasound device (9), whereby the ultrasound device (9) detects the condition of the teeth and transmits the data via a conductor, a contact (6) and the cable connection (5) for three-dimensional image representation of the data detected by the ultrasound device on the screen of a connected monitor.

4. Device according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the head part (8) is connected to a shaft (13) of the plug-on part (3) by a joint connection (12).

5. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the articulated connection (1.2) is an articulated connection that can be rotated in all directions.

6. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that one of the attachments (3) is designed as a toothbrush for dental care.
