DurchgangsluftschleieranlageWalk-through air curtain system
BeschreibungDescription
Bei üblichen Luftschleieranlagen, bei denen zur Vermeidung hoher Druckverluste die aus der Strömungsführung austretende Luft vergleichsweise turbulent ist, sollte die Strahlbreite so gewählt werden, daß sieThe innovation concerns a device for the contact-free separation of two rooms from each other using an air curtain, which will also be referred to below as a passage or gate air curtain system. Air curtain systems have been known for decades and are often used for contact-free sealing of access doors to department stores, for example. They generally consist of a flat jet flow that exits from a suitable flow guide above the door opening. The properties of jet flows are covered in the relevant textbooks on fluid mechanics. An effective separation of two rooms - e.g. the interior of a department store - from the atmosphere occurs when air from the core area of the air jet hits the side opposite the blow-out plane (floor). The length of the core area is four to six times the jet exit width, depending on the turbulence of the outgoing air. In conventional air curtain systems, where the air exiting the flow guide is relatively turbulent in order to avoid high pressure losses, the jet width should be selected so that it

B. sehr hohen Türöffnungen.approximately 1/4 of the opening to be sealed. This leads to very large beam widths at very large opening heights, e.g. very high door openings.
If the temperatures in the rooms to be separated by air curtains are high, air curtain systems in which the jet flow is made up of two partial jets are advantageous. Such systems are described, for example, in the patents US 3211078 and US 3229609. In these systems, the air curtain consists of two flat partial jets which emerge from a flow guide above the door opening, which is divided in the longitudinal axis at the exit plane. The jet facing the respective area is supplied with air from this area. The two air flows with different temperatures only touch in the area of the separation plane between the two partial jets. If the air emerges from the partial jets at the same speed, there is only a slight mixing of the two partial jets. The air jet hitting the floor again splits approximately along its separation plane and flows into the respective area. Because of the mixing of the two partial jets along their separation plane, the core length of such an air jet consisting of at least two partial jets is less than the core length of a single air jet. To safely separate different areas from each other, the optimal jet width of the entire jet, consisting of two partial jets, for example, is about 1/3 of the height of the opening to be sealed.
If the air curtain systems described above are used for contactless sealing of very high door or gate openings, a significant disadvantage arises from the large width of the air outlet plane required. For example, if one assumes a gate height of H = 6 m, the required width of the air outlet plane (= jet width) would be s = 6/3 = 2 m. This large jet width is associated with a large air volume flow and thus a large required drive power for the fans used.
The innovation is based on the task of creating a device for the contact-free separation of two rooms that are connected by a very high door or door opening. The aim is to minimize the performance of the air curtain system and the mixing of the possibly differently conditioned air in the two rooms.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
Useful embodiments are defined by the features of the subclaims.
The advantages achieved with the innovation are based on the formation of an air curtain, which separates the opening between two rooms without contact so that the jet width is as small as possible and the exchange of air between the atmospheres of the two rooms is nevertheless minimized. This makes it possible for the first time to separate two rooms without contact with little energy consumption, since the separation effect is not based on the volume flow of the air curtain, but on flow-related conditions.
Es zeigen The innovation is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the attached schematic drawings. They show

The flow guides shown in Figure 1, generally indicated by the reference numerals (3), (4a) and (4b), generate an air flow (1) which exits parallel to the sealing plane (2) and perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the upper edge corresponding to the flow guide (3) and perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the lateral edges corresponding to the flow guides (4a) and (4b).
The vertical section in Figure 2 shows an advantageous design of the innovative air curtain system, in which the flow guide (3) is divided in the plane of the wall (5), which represents the separation between the two areas under consideration (6) and (7). The air flow (1) therefore consists of the partial jets (la) and (1b), which enter the areas (6) and (7) respectively, from which the air sucked in by the fans (8) was taken.
For the situation shown in Figure 3, the opening to be sealed (2) is located in the immediate vicinity of a lateral boundary wall (9) which runs perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the sealing plane. The air flow (1) is generated here by a flow guide (3), (4a) and (4b), whereby a flow guide (4a) and (4b) is only provided on the lateral boundary of the sealing plane (2) opposite the wall 9.
