The invention relates to a holder for a telephone, in particular one attached to the bedside table or set of a hospital room, which allows the telephone to be swiveled or tilted in many directions.

For example, in the case of a telephone holder, a bearing point is set in the upper side area of a bedside table, which a swiveling arm then engages. In this swivel arm there is a support plate onto which the telephone is placed. In this way, the telephone can be swiveled into or out of the user's area.

This process is sometimes very difficult, especially for patients in hospitals, as making phone calls has to be done while the patient is lying down from the hospital bed.

It is often very difficult to bring the telephone within easy reach from this lying position without the patient having to sit up or turn.

It often happens that the swivel arm gets out of reach when you touch it or reach it, and injuries from the relatively sharp edges of the telephone support plate are not uncommon.

There is also a risk of the entire bedside table being lifted or tipped over if the patient accidentally tries to stand up or support themselves using the swivel arm of the telephone holder, for example.

The aim of the invention is therefore to design a telephone holder, particularly on the bedside table or bed in a hospital room, in such a way that injury to the patient is largely excluded and good accessibility to the telephone is guaranteed.

€Inadvertently swinging the phone out of the patient's reach should be avoided.

Any accidental levering or tipping of the bedside table due to an unfavourable position of the telephone swivel arm in the side, upper area of the bedside table, or due to the patient accidentally trying to escape, should be ruled out.

According to the invention, the ringing is solved in such a way that the holding plate for ringing the telephone no longer has any ring edges, is smaller than the base of the telephone and that two hooks made of round material are attached to the underside of the telephone holding plate on the right and left, which are used for ringing headphones etc. The underside of the telephone holding plate is located approximately at the height of the bedside table's storage area.

In a further development of the invention, a so-called gooseneck, i.e. a flexible tube, is fitted in the middle of the telephone holder plate, which runs vertically downwards and is attached to the side of the bedside table in its lower area. It is advantageous that the telephone can be rotated, swivelled and tilted in many directions using the flexible tube.

It is advantageous that, for example, if the patient accidentally falls on the telephone holder, an unfavourable lever arm acts on the bedside table, as the bearing point of the telephone holder is in the lower part of the bedside table and the flexible tube also gives way. This means that levering over or tipping over the table is almost impossible.

It is also advantageous that, for example, telephone connection cables do not cause interference, as they run directly from the telephone through the flexible pipe, which is open at the top and bottom, and are only visible near the floor.

In an advantageous further development of the invention, the holding plate for holding the telephone is perforated in a way that the rubber feet of the telephone can engage in the perforations. This prevents the telephone from moving sideways.

A self-adhesive magnetic foil that is attached to the underside of the telephone provides the connection to the telephone holder plate.

It is advantageous that the telephone can be removed from the holder without any problems, for example for thorough cleaning or replacing the telephone.
