Das Uberformatmedium für Einzelbiatteinzug (Figur 1) soli ermöglichen, mit handelsüblichen EDV-Peripherie-Geräten (z.B, InkJet- oder Laserdrucker mit Einzelblatteinzug) Drucke zu erstellen, die bis zum DIN-Format-Rand (1) (drucktechnische Bezeichnung: Anschnitt) gehen.The oversize medium for single sheet feed (Figure 1) is intended to enable prints to be produced using commercially available computer peripheral devices (e.g. inkjet or laser printers with single sheet feed) that go up to the DIN format edge (1) (technical term: bleed).
Bisher blieb nach dem Druckvorgang, z.B. bei Papier, ein weißer Rand, weil die Tintenpatronen bzw. Tonerkartuschen das Format weder in der Höhe noch in der Breite voll nutzen konnten. Aus technischen Gründen mußte ein unbedruckter Rand bleiben, damit das Papier bzw. die Folie von den Druckpatronen während des Druckvorgangs seitlich nicht angehoben, geduckt und beschädigt wurde. Ein Ausdrucken bis zum Anschnitt, wie gewerbliche Druckereien ihn bieten, weil diese eben das vorher überformatige Papier nach den Druck auf das Endformat (z.B. Im Hardware-Bereich bedarf es einer Modifizierung des Papiereinzugschachtes am Drucker, um die größeren Formate aufnehmen zu können.
