Dieser bekannte Stecker-Adapter ist nur zweipolig ausgebildet, d.h. ein Schutzkontakt ist dort nicht vorhanden. Die an den Lagerabteilen des Gehäusemantels festgelegten Stecker sind ohne elektrisch leitende Verbindung mit der Steckbuchse einfach nur am Gehäusemantel lösbar gelagert. Nachdem bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Stecker-Adapter das Adapter-Basiselement des jeweils zur Anwendung gelangenden Steckers nur vom entsprechenden Lagerabteil des Gehäusemantels zum Abteil im Gehäuseboden umgestellt zu werden braucht, sind ungenaue Bedienungen oder Fehlbedienungen des Stecker-Adapters ausgeschlossen.
