Die Bayernwerke AG betreiben Pumpstationen (6), die Wasser aus nieder gelegenen Bachläufen (2) in den höher gelegenen Inn pumpen. An diesen Pumpstationen sind Stahlgitter (1) vor der Einlauföffnung angebracht, um die Pumpen vor angeschwemmten Verunreinigungen wie Laub, Holz, Abfälle etc. zu schützen. Diese Gitter werden vom Schwemmgut oft zugesetzt. Die Reinigung des Schutzgitters (1) erfolgt durch den ARE 97 automatisch. Der kettengetriebene Rechen klappt nach Erreichen des Tiefstpunktes aus, wird parallel zum Schutzgitter in die Höhe gezogen, wobei er die angeschwemmten Verunreinigungen mitnimmt. Angelangt am Höchstpunkt klappt der Mitnehmer um und wirft das Schwemmgut in den aus Lochblech gefertigten Sammelbehälter (4).
