Physical state of the technology

Watches are normally tensioned using a ring-shaped watch holder, which does not depict the watch on a flat surface, but in space. The watches and the bracelet are visible in their entirety, as the space behind the watches is also visible. The bracket creates a tension that pushes the bracelet outwards and stretches it around the circumference so that it cannot slip sideways or fall off the watch holder (see page 2, drawing 4, part 1). In the case of a so-called watch winder, which also winds the mechanical watches, the watches have previously been tensioned in this way, which means that the watch appears to be completely detached from its surroundings when it is moving, and the movement actually does not relate to the orientation of the watch holder or bracelet at all (page 2, drawing 3), but rather in the direction of the dial. The rotational movement occurs perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the bracelet, or the watch holder, or in the direction of the watch hands movement (page 2, drawing 2).

Problem definition

The watch is usually clamped using the elasticity of the fastening bracket. This means that the elasticity in the surface is created by the bendability of a strip of material that is covered by the watch strap due to its narrowness.

1. The space-consuming shape of the clamp makes the watches recede into the background, as there is no surface against which the watches can be depicted and the rotational movement occurs perpendicular to the orientation of the watch holder. The bracelet is not designed in the surface, but in space (see sheet 2, drawing 4).

2. The wearer can hold a maximum of two watches at once.

3. The carrier has no storage function, which allows several watches to be stored in a space-saving and economical manner.

The solution lies in a flat watch holder (see sheet 1, part 1), which can accommodate different sized bracelet diameters and types due to its elasticity. The closed surface can be detached from the clamp/bearing of the watch holder (see part 2, clamp) and stored separately as a pure watch display, permanently and, due to its flat design, in a space-saving manner. A bevelled surface on the opposite side prevents contact with the case and creates a visual passe-partout to the watch holder. The rotational movement now takes place in the direction of the bracelet and the watch holder (see sheet 2, drawing 2) and the shape of the bracelet is at least visually in the line of sight (see drawing 4) in the rotating surface and not in the surrounding space.

The elasticity of a curved support surface (part 1) is used, the edges of which are bent in such a way that

1. The watch strap can be placed well around the edge of the watch strap without being damaged

2. The edge with its bevel on the back can be adapted to a clamp (part 2) that is plastically deformable and can adapt to different beam widths

3. The bracelet does not come into contact with the housing or the motor flange (part 4).

The main claim is characterized in that the watch carrier (part 1) is held detachably by two clamps (part 2) mounted on a rotating flange (part 4). The distance between the two clamps is determined by a maximum strap width. Basically, the clamps divide the watch carrier into three areas: two outer areas and a central area.
