Es sind elektrische Schneckenzäune bekannt, die den Schneckenfrass an Pflanzen verhindern sollen. Dabei handelt es sich um mechanische Barrieren, wie Kunststoffbänder, Wellenzäune oder metallische Grundplatten, die teilweise in den Boden eingelassen sind. An diesen mechanischen Barrieren sind stromführende Drähte angebracht, die ein Überwinden dieser Barrieren durch Schnecken verhindern soll. Dies gelingt zwar, doch stellen diese Schneckenbarrieren in ihrer zaunähnlichen Ausgestaltung eine grosse Behinderung bei der Gartenarbeit dar.Electric snail fences are known to prevent snails from eating plants. Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss mit einem Schneckenzaun gelöst, bestehend aus einer Profilleiste, vorzugsweise aus Kunststoff, in die zwei stromführende Leiter eingebracht sind. Der Schneckenzaun besteht aus einer Profilleiste (1) mit einer inneren Schutzfläche (2) und einer äusseren Schutzfläche (3) so wie einer Erhöhung (6) . In die Erhöhung (6) sind im äusseren Bereich zwei Nuten eingelassen, in welche die Stromführenden Leiter (4) eingeklemmt sind. Das Unterkriechen des Schneckenzaunes wird durch die Profilwand (5) , welche vollständig in den Boden eingelassen ist, verhindert. Die Schutzflächen (2,3) verhindern ungewollte Kurzschlüsse durch überlappendes nasses Gras o.a. und ermöglichen eine Bearbeitung des angrenzenden Bodens (z.B. durch Rasenmähen, Hacken ) ohne Beschädigungsgefahr für die stromführenden Leiter (4). Die leichte Erhöhung des Profils (6) führt zum Abfliesen von Regenwasser und verhindert dadurch ebenfalls ungewollte Kurzschlüsse.The snail fence consists of a profile strip (1) with an inner protective surface (2) and an outer protective surface (3) as well as a raised area (6).
