Description
Verspannung zwischen Deckswantenbeschlag und Rumpf von SeaelvachtenBracing between deck shroud fitting and hull of Seaelvachten
The invention relates to a novel bracing between the deck shroud fitting and the hull of sailing yachts, with which the deck fitting is braced to the hull for receiving the shroud tensioners for the stay of the mast.
Such bracings are known, which consist of solid metal parts that transfer the load from the deck fitting to a fitting attached to the hull. These are usually individual structures and manufactured according to the type of boat. High forces act on these bracings, as the deck fitting absorbs all the forces of the mast stay. Furthermore, for sailing reasons, this fitting is often not located on the outside of the boat's hull, but rather towards the middle of the deck. Due to the high tensile load that acts on the bracing, large material cross-sections are necessary. The stainless steel that is used for this in yacht construction does not have high yield strengths. The high material cross-sections therefore lead to clumsy dimensions that are disruptive inside the hull. In addition, these bracings have no or usually very complicated length adjustments to adapt to the structural conditions or for readjustment.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the disadvantages described above and to obtain a solid, minimally dimensioned bracing with trimming options for every installation position regardless of the boat type, inexpensive to manufacture and easy and safe to install and operate and with an attractive design.
The invention is described using an example. A key feature is the tension rod (Fig. 1, 6) made of high-strength stainless steel, at the ends of which compression heads (Fig. 1, 8, 9) are pressed for load bearing. Two bell-shaped crown parts (Fig. 2, 3) and Fig. 3, 3) enclose the compression heads for load bearing in the axial direction. The material of the tension rod with extremely high strength is used for shrouds and stays and is inexpensive to process. Since the tension length is usually only up to 2 meters, leftover material can also be used inexpensively. The deck (Fig. 1, 1) shows the deck fitting with the fittings connected by screws (Fig. 1, 3, 4). The lower part (Fig. 1, 3) is shaped so that the upper fitting ring (Fig. 3, 3), which encloses the compression head, rests over a hole in the crown area. The ring fitting is spherical towards the underside and ensures angular deflection during assembly. The lower part (Fig. 1, 7) is bell-shaped and has an internal thread (Fig. 2, 4) and is screwed to a threaded bolt (Fig. 1, 12) which is rotatably mounted in the fuselage fitting (Fig. 1, 13) using threaded nuts (Fig. 1, 11).
This enables a solid, secure length adjustment by turning the bell part on the molded key surfaces (Fig. 3, 5).
