Abstract

1. Metal-working press with at least one pair (1) of dies, comprising, in each case, a male die (5) and a female die (2), each male die (5) being supported against the press slide (3), via a thrust pad (6) which can be shifted in the direction (A) of movement of the press slide (3), by means of a wedge (7) which can be shifted in a straight line and can be actuated via a motor-driven spindle (8), characterised in that the motor (13) is installed on the press frame (15), and in that a coupling device (14) is provided for the purpose of connecting the motor (13) to a gearwheel (12) which is seated on the spindle (8), when the press slide (3) is in a defined position.
