Ölaufsaugender GegenstandOil-absorbing object

Die Erfindung betrifft einen ölaufsaugenden Gegenstand.The invention relates to an oil-absorbing article.

From the publication WO 95/19842 an oil-absorbing object is known which has a core based on pine bark in a cushion-like hollow body. The oil to be absorbed is supposed to pass through the wool felt layer into the core made of pine bark, so that in this way, for example, oil floating on a water surface can be absorbed.

The disadvantage here is that the pine bark core must not contain any moisture if it is to be suitable for absorbing oil. Another disadvantage is that the size of the oil-absorbing object is predetermined by the shape of the cushion. Since the bark core is enclosed on all sides by the layer of wool felt, the bark would trickle out if the cushion were to be cut up.

The invention is based on the object of creating an improved oil-absorbing article which consists of inexpensive materials, is easy to manufacture, can be adapted to practically any size and can be used multiple times.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a sandwich-like article with a multi-layer structure between

The outer textile surface structures with facing and interconnected pile sides have a layer-like incorporation based on cellulose.

It is advantageous here that the sandwich-like object is buoyant and absorbs oil floating on the surface of water, as the oil passes through the textile fabric and is absorbed by the layer-like inlay based on cellulose. Preferably, the layer-like inlay based on cellulose is introduced in the form of fibrous particles during the connection of the pile sides of the textile fabric. In an expedient embodiment, it can be provided that the layer-like inlay has a holding grid, which can be designed, for example, as a plastic grid based on polyester.

Due to the layer-like storage based on cellulose between the interconnected pole sides, the sandwich-like object can be produced in the form of large-format flat structures and then cut into any size on site without the risk of the cellulose absorbing the oil escaping to the outside at the cutting edge.

A further advantage of the invention is that the sandwich-like sheet structure can be used multiple times without any problem by subjecting the sheet structure to a squeezing process after the oil has been sucked out, thereby squeezing out the absorbed oil. After the squeezing process, the sheet structure is suitable for absorbing further oil.

In a further embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the textile fabric is designed as a knitted fabric-like fleece, preferably based on wool.

Es zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail below using the embodiment shown schematically in the drawing. It shows:

Fig. 1 eine schematische Schnittdarstellung eines ölaufsaugenden Gegenstandeis gemäß der Erfindung;Fig. 1 is a schematic sectional view of an oil-absorbing article according to the invention;

Fig. 2 eine schematische Darstellung eines Haltegitters;Fig. 2 is a schematic representation of a retaining grid;

Fig. 3 eine schematische Darstellung des Herstellungsvorganges eines ölaufsaugenden Gegenstandes gemäß Fig. 1.Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of the manufacturing process of an oil-absorbing article according to Fig. 1.

An oil-absorbing object has a multi-layered sandwich structure. Textile fabrics designated 1 and 2 each have a knitted fabric based on wool, with poles 5, 6 protruding from the outer mesh layers 3, 4 on the flat sides facing each other, which are connected to each other in their end areas. The connection can be made, for example, by connecting meshes 7. Between the connected pole sides there is a layered inlay 8 based on cellulose, within which a holding grid 9 is arranged in the middle, which is constructed as a plastic grid made of polyester. The layered inlay 8 is introduced in the form of fibrous cellulose particles 10 during the connection of the two pole sides 5 and 6, as can be seen from Fig. 3.

Die textlien Flächengebilde bestehen vorzugsweise aus Wolle.The textile fabrics are preferably made of wool.

The oil passes through the wool layer into the layer-like storage based on cellulose and is retained by it. When the absorption process is finished, the mat floating on the surface of the water can be retrieved and squeezed, whereupon

die Matte erneut zum Zwecke des Ölaufsaugens eingesetzt werden kann.the mat can be used again for the purpose of absorbing oil.

In terms of volume, the cellulose content is generally less than ten percent by volume, since otherwise a sandwich-like mass cannot be easily realized in terms of stability.
