Description

Foldable, three-wheeled multi-purpose stroller.

The three-wheeled strollers were "invented" as "jogging carts" in the 1980s in California.

Problem areas of this type of stroller currently on the market are foldability, seat design, wheel assembly, roof and conversion to a baby stroller.

Either the strollers can only be folded up after laboriously unscrewing the wheels or the folding mechanism is so complicated that no hands are left free for the child.

The seat design of commercially available strollers of this type is "hammock-like", cannot be adjusted to a lying position and neglects ergonomic aspects.

On some models, the roof is permanently attached to the frame. When jogging, it inflates like a sail and slows you down. On other models, the roof is removable, but there is no way to store the roof on the stroller.

None of the existing models allow a three-wheeled stroller to be used as a baby carriage. They can only be used for children aged 8 months and above at the earliest.

Solution:

This new design of a three-wheeled stroller means that the stroller can be folded up in the simplest way possible.

The seat design takes ergonomic aspects into account and ensures healthy seating comfort for the child.

The roof can be removed if necessary and stored in the back pocket of the seat.

One half of a zipper is attached to the edge of the roof, to which a rain and wind protection or a mosquito net can be attached, each of which has the other half of the zipper.

The folding mechanism of the invention is explained in Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The following is shown:

The three functional groups of the stroller frame are connected to each other in a central pivot joint (Fig. 1,1).

At the swivel joint, the three functional groups end in discs.

A central axis of rotation runs through these discs.

After the stroller has been opened or closed, the panes are fixed by form-fitting and/or force-locking elements so that the stroller can be locked in both the folded and unfolded state (see e.g. Fig. 5).

Three-wheeled folding stroller characterized in that the three parts or functional groups that make up the frame of the stroller, namely - the stem that guides the front wheel (Fig. 2, 7), - the slider bar (Fig. 2, 5), - the one- or two-part rear frame to which the rear wheels are attached (Fig. 3 8), via a swivel joint (Fig. 1,1) with folding mechanism. 2. Three-wheeled folding stroller according to claim 1, characterized in that the rear frame has an elastic stop which creates a suspension for the rear wheels (see Fig. 7, 24). In this case, the rear frame can also be constructed in two parts, so that each rear wheel is individually suspended on a wishbone (see Fig. 9 and 10). 3.
