Multifunctional attachment for mattresses of any kind

In order to leave the lying position in bed and achieve an almost upright sitting position, adjustable slatted frames are available. However, the commercially available mattresses lack the flexibility to achieve a completely upright position. In addition, the arms are not supported in any way, which means that reading and other activities become strenuous after a short time. Items that allow you to achieve a level of sitting comfort in bed that is close to that in an armchair are not currently available on the market.

The backrest and armrests of the multifunctional attachment are infinitely and independently adjustable. This means that any position can be set, from lying down to sitting upright. The ergonomically shaped recess in the backrest ensures secure support and seating comfort. In conjunction with any bed mattress, at home or in the hospital, the multifunctional attachment opens up a wide range of possible uses for the user without any assembly effort: First and foremost, sitting upright and comfortably like in an armchair, and with the appropriate accessories, also eating, doing crafts, writing, reading and working on the desk module. The multifunctional attachment serves as a leg rest when sleeping and resting and can be used in rehabilitation exercises. When breastfeeding and holding babies, the armrests prevent the arms from getting tired. The headboard of the bed or the wall of the room serves as rear support for the backrest of the multifunctional attachment. The position or height of the attachment point is unimportant, as the tubular steel frame prevents the backrest from bending.

The armrests can be moved and folded up independently of the backrest and independently of each other. This is helpful, for example, when getting up and makes it easier for nursing staff to lift patients out of bed. In addition, the multifunctional attachment with the armrests folded up can be easily and simply placed behind the back of the bedridden person. To store the multifunctional attachment in a space-saving manner, the backrest is folded between the armrests.

Using the connecting sockets and connecting pins, appropriately designed accessories such as trays, book and magazine holders, handles, worktops, etc. can be attached to the armrests. If no accessory is used, the connecting pin is inserted into the connecting socket to prevent any injuries.
