Die Schonbezüge sind der Sitzform angepaßt zugeschnitten und an den Ecken entsprechend abgenäht, so daß ein haubenförmiger Überzug entsteht, womit beispielsweise die Sitzfläche voll abgedeckt werden kann und gleichzeitig ein sicherer Halt des Schonbezuges erzielbar ist. Die Randstreifen überdecken dabei teilweise oder ganz die Seitenflächen, wobei unter "Seitenflächen" gemäß der Erfindung auch die vordere Stirnfläche und ggf. auch die hintere Stirnfläche der Sitz- oder Liegevorrichtung verstanden wird. Auch an der Unterseite der Sitzfläche sind Veloursstoffe großflächig vorgesehen und mit den Bezugszeichen 15 und 16 gekennzeichnet, was es ermöglicht, die Sitzfläche 8 auch an dem Sitz zu befestigen, wie dies anhand der FIG 1 beschrieben ist. In den Eckenbereichen weisen die Randstreifen 9, 10 bzw. 10, 11 Abnäher auf, wodurch eine Voranpassung des Schonbezuges an den Sitz gegeben ist. 11. Protective cover according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the protective cover is a car seat protective cover and is pulled over a car seat and the edge strips are attached to the side surfaces of the seat, reclining and/or back element.

12. Slipcover according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that
that the seat, reclining and/or backrest element is part of an upholstered piece of furniture and the side strips of the slipcover are attached to the side surfaces of the upholstered furniture.

13. Slipcover according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that
that the protective cover is fitted onto a seat and/or backrest element of a child seat.

14. Slipcover according to claim 5, characterized in that the velour fabric is glued or sewn onto the underside of the slipcover.
