"Dachrinnenhalterung zur Anbringung einer Dachrinne an vorzugsweise der Unterkante eines Daches""Gutter bracket for attaching a gutter to preferably the lower edge of a roof"
The invention relates to a gutter bracket for attaching a gutter to preferably the lower edge of a roof according to the preamble of claim 1.
A gutter is generally understood to be a device that is preferably attached to the lower edge of a roof and that collects the rainwater flowing off the roof surface and directs it into a downpipe.
The gutter, which is made of zinc sheet, galvanized steel sheet, copper or plastic, for example, is most often used in the form of a hanging gutter anchored to the roof with a circular segment-shaped, usually semi-circular cross-section. The anchoring to the roof structure is usually done with gutter brackets. These consist essentially of a strip material that has a curved receiving area corresponding to the gutter cross-section and a flexible mounting area that can be adjusted to the roof pitch.
The mounting area of known designs is unprofiled. Accordingly, the strip material must have a relatively large thickness in order to achieve the required strength. For example, for safety reasons, a person weighing 85 kg must be able to walk through a gutter fixed in it when the gutter brackets are 60 cm apart. Common thicknesses for strip materials are 4.6 or 8 mm. This means that a suitable material thickness must be selected for a given load, which ultimately makes it necessary to keep a stock of various gutter brackets.
Since the known designs in the installation area only involve unprofiled strip materials, it is easy to imagine that a gutter bracket that has been pre-bent and adapted to the roof pitch will bend into an undesirable position even under comparatively low load.
In order to reduce the bending of the receiving area of the gutter bracket, in known embodiments (for example with a semi-circular receiving area) a bead, i.e. a depression with a round cross-section, is provided at least partially along this area. However, this bead has the disadvantage that if the receiving area does bend as a result of a strong load, it tends to lose its original shape by being pressed flat. However, this means that this area loses further rigidity, which can result in even greater bending under sustained load.

For designs made from galvanized iron, there is also a disadvantageous limitation that only certain gutter materials can be used. For example, a galvanized gutter bracket in combination with a copper gutter would be electrochemically decomposed.
The invention is based on the object of improving the strength of gutter brackets.
This object is solved by the features of claim 1.
Advantageous and expedient further developments of the gutter bracket according to the invention are specified in the subclaims.
The bracket also comprises a receiving area that at least partially surrounds the gutter and a bendable mounting area for fastening it to a roof structure. The core idea here is that in the mounting area and/or in the receiving area there is an embossing that runs at least partially along the respective area and has a flat portion. Such an embossing not only leads to improved rigidity of the gutter bracket according to the invention in its original form, but it also remains almost unchanged when the gutter bracket is bent significantly in a correspondingly strongly dimensioned bending device, i.e. it is not printed straight, and thus generally contributes to

This is of particular interest when the mounting area has to be bent significantly, in order to adapt the gutter bracket to the slope of a roof, for example. Even in this case, there is no need to accept a reduced strength of the bracket. Furthermore, due to the high strength of the brackets according to the invention, it is possible to cover a wide range of application areas with different strength requirements with one design. Gutter brackets with different thicknesses are normally used for this, but these can now be replaced by just one type. As a result, the costs for production and storage are reduced.
The development of the invention is particularly advantageous in that the embossing in the receiving area is turned outwards away from the receiving area. This ensures that a gutter in the receiving area does not rest on the embossing, but has the full width of the strip material available as a support. Accordingly, in addition to an extraordinary strength (dimensional stability) of the receiving area, a favorable distribution of force on an adjacent gutter results.
It is also advantageous if the embossing in the installation area is turned inwards towards the receiving area. In the installation area, the outside of the gutter bracket is normally used as a support on a roof structure during fastening, which means that, as already described in the above paragraph, the full width of the strip material can also be used for the support. The possibly smaller width of the turned out side of the embossing would result in reduced stability, at least against lateral tipping.
In a particularly favorable embodiment, at least one opening for fastening is punched or embossed in the assembly area. By embossing and/or punching openings for the passage of fastening elements, for example nails, screws or the like, little or at best no material is removed at the point of the opening, but rather simply displaced, which means that there is no weakening of the cross-section and thus no reduction in stability. In fact, it is even possible to create a bending point at openings that have been created in this way without having to accept a loss of strength.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a bead seat for a gutter bead is provided in the receiving area at the end of the strip material. This means that the gutter bead present in many gutter designs can be used for improved positioning of the gutter by allowing it to snap into the prepared seat.
Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment it is advantageous if a slightly flexible tab for fixing the gutter is provided at at least one end of the receiving area. In particular, if there is no bead seat, a gutter inserted in the gutter holder must be secured. This can be done using a slightly flexible tab that is arranged over an upper edge of the gutter and is simply bent downwards. If there is a bead seat, such a tab can also be used.
Edelstahl hat eine Reihe sehr günstiger Eigenschaften: an erster Stelle dürfte hierFinally, it is advantageous if the strip material of the gutter bracket is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel has a number of very favorable properties: first and foremost
This makes it possible to use a comparatively thin strip material and still meet specified strength requirements (for example, instead of 6 or 8 mm of strip material in conventional designs, 3 mm is sufficient for a stainless steel design according to the invention). Furthermore, stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and can be used without any problems with all gutter materials, such as titanium zinc, zinc, copper or aluminum.

(siehe Fig. 2 beziehungsweise Fig. 3). The gutter bracket 1 comprises a mounting area 2 which is straight in the side view of Fig. 1 and a receiving area 3 in the shape of a segment of a circle. The mounting area 2 has a hollow embossing 4 with a depth tm (see Fig. 2) which is protruded inwards towards the receiving area 3. In contrast, the receiving area has a hollow embossing 5 with a depth ta (Fig. 3) which is protruded outwards away from the receiving area. The hollow embossing 4 and the hollow embossing 5 have a width which takes up approximately one third of the strip width b. This results in hollow embossings whose protruded area runs largely parallel to the rest of the strip, i.e. with a predominantly flat portion 21, 22.
Changing the protrusion sides of the hollow embossing 4, 5, as in the present example, has the following advantages. In the assembly area 2, the outside 6 of which generally rests on a roof structure (not shown) after assembly, the full width b of the strip material is available for support. Likewise, a gutter 7 on the inside 8 of the receiving area 3 rests on the full width b due to the hollow embossing 5 that is turned outwards. The gutter 7 is shown in dash-dotted lines in Figures 1 to 3, whereby the expansion in the direction of the width b is illustrated by the broken lines in Figures 2 and 3.
Furthermore, the change of sides of the hollow embossing results in a transition area 9, which in this way receives additional stiffening (see in particular Fig. 4). This is particularly advantageous because particularly large forces can occur in this section when the gutter 7 is loaded.
In Fig. 1, only two openings 10, 11 are shown, since the mounting area 2 of the gutter bracket 1 is not shown in its full length. Just above the transition area 9 between the mounting area 2 and the receiving area 3, a slightly flexible tab 12 is attached. On the opposite side of the receiving area 3, at the end of a bead seat 13, there is another flexible tab 14.
The gutter bracket 1 can be attached to a roof structure using screws or nails (not shown), for example, via the holes 10, 11. After installation or before installation, the mounting area can be bent to adapt the receiving area so that an inserted gutter 7 lies as horizontally as possible in it. The gutter brackets according to the invention are arranged next to one another, for example, at a distance of 60 cm. Once all the gutter brackets 1 have been bent as desired, the gutter 7 can be inserted. It then rests on the two support surfaces 15, 16 of the inside 8 of the receiving area 3 for each gutter bracket 1. In the present example, the gutter 7 has a folded end 17 and a gutter bead 18. The gutter bead 18 was snapped into the correspondingly shaped bead seats 13 when the gutter 7 was inserted and thus leads to an initial fixation of the gutter 7. The inserted gutter 7 is further fixed in place by the tab 12 or the tab 14 at the end of the bead seat 13 being bent downwards at the upper limits 17, 18 of the gutter.
Durch die erfindungsgemäßen Dachrinnenhalterungen kann eine darin angebrachte Dachrinne 7 sehr hohen Belastungen standhalten und ohne Probleme kann eine Person die DachrinneThe gutter brackets according to the invention allow a gutter 7 mounted therein to withstand very high loads and one person can easily remove the gutter
7 beim montieren durchlaufen. The support surfaces 15 of the receiving area 3 of the gutter bracket 1 also prevent any notching in the possibly soft gutter material (e.g. copper).
The lateral tilting of the gutter bracket 1 due to a lateral load is absorbed by support surfaces 19, 20 on the outside 6 of the mounting area 2.
