The invention is based on the task of creating a gardening tool that also removes the roots when weeding.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the blade is provided with a plurality of teeth in the area of its edge pointing away from the handle, the flanks of which approach each other outwards to form a point and run parallel to each other inwards to form a gap. The flanks of the teeth are preferably convex.

The garden tool shown in Figure 1 consists in a known manner of a handle - here a handle in which the actual garden tool can be replaced - and a blade 12 extending in a plane that is essentially perpendicular to the plane of the handle, but preferably at a slightly acute angle.

The blade 12 is provided with a plurality of teeth 14, as shown in Fig. 2. The two flanks 16 of the teeth 14 are each convex, approaching each other towards the outside to form a point 18 and running parallel to each other towards the inside to form a gap 20. The tips of the teeth are not sharpened.

The teeth have a width of around 10mm in the area of their base (where they form the gap), and the height of the teeth is also around 10mm.

When using this garden tool, the tips penetrate the soil and run at an angle of about 45°. The leaves of the plant to be removed are not severed from their roots, but rather the roots become wedged in the gap 20 remaining between the teeth and can thus be pulled out of the soil by the garden tool.

To remove the weeded plants, they can be removed by hand, but it is also possible to lay the leaf flat on the ground and push it backwards.

Garden tool which is provided in the manner of a hoe with a handle (10) and a blade (12) extending in a plane substantially perpendicular to the handle (10), characterized in that the blade (10) is provided with a plurality of teeth (14) in the region of its edge pointing away from the handle, the flanks (16) of which approach one another outwards to form a point (18) and run parallel to one another inwards to form a gap (20). 2. Garden tool according to claim 1, characterized in that the flanks (16) of the teeth (14) are convex.
