Description
Beleuchtungsanordnung für einen lichtdurchlässigen
Motiv- oder InformationsträgerLighting arrangement for a translucent
Motif or information carrier
The invention relates to an arrangement for illuminating motif or information carriers, which have a completely or partially transparent and/or translucent carrier body and at least one light source supplying it with light.
In illuminated advertising, it is known to illuminate a plastic plate with engraved image or text contours by placing a fluorescent lamp on the edge or on the back or arranging it as close as possible. This leads to a total extension of the illuminated advertising system of around 15 to 20 cm deep. In addition, the need for power supply cables for the fluorescent lamp directly on the light sign reduces operational reliability, which is particularly serious when exposed to moisture.
The problem underlying the invention is therefore to create an illuminated advertising system that is insensitive to the effects of moisture, has increased operational reliability and reduced maintenance costs, and at the same time ensures brilliant illumination of the image, motif or other information carrier. To solve this problem, in an arrangement with the features mentioned at the beginning, the invention proposes to provide one or more light guides that are coupled to the light source and the carrier body as a light sink for light transmission.
Neben diesem geringen Wartungsaufwand besteht ein weiterer Vorteil in dem verminderten Energieaufwand, weil selbst größere Lichtwerbeanlagen mit einer verhältnismäßigIn contrast to conventional lighting technology, especially in the illuminated advertising sector, it is no longer the electricity that is used, but the light itself is distributed from a remote central light source or several light sources via one or preferably several light guides to the motif or information carrier. If the lighting fails, only the lamp in the central light source (if applicable) needs to be replaced. In addition to this low maintenance requirement, another advantage is the reduced energy consumption, because even larger illuminated advertising systems with a relatively low energy consumption can be used.
geringen Anzahl an Lichtquellen auskommen. In addition, the light guides, especially if they are designed as cables with glass or plastic fiber strands, can be extremely robust against moisture or other environmental influences and mechanical stress.
With such light guides it is possible to bridge a distance of about 30 m from the light source to the light sign.
It is within the scope of the invention to either allow the light guides to light up on their way to the light shield or to provide them with an opaque and/or inwardly reflecting sheath.
According to one embodiment of the invention, acrylic or other plastic glass in a flat and/or plate-like basic form is suitable for the light sign or illuminated motif carrier. One advantage achieved with the invention is that extremely flat carrier bodies whose thickness or depth does not exceed 10 to 15 mm can be used. This also results in the above-mentioned lack of bursting.
According to another embodiment of the invention, a light sign or illuminated motif carrier made of acrylic glass is provided with contoured engraved texts that are covered with coatings known as "high-performance foil" in certain colors. Areas of the light sign that are not supposed to glow can be covered with light-tight mirror foil. If, according to the invention, such a light sign is supplied with fiber optic cables that are connected to a projector with 150 watts of power each, the light is reproduced with extraordinary brilliance.
Der Montage- und Wartungsaufwand wird bei Einsatz an sich bekannter Projektoren für Faserlicht-Beleuchtungsanlagen durch eine besondere Ausbildung des Kabelanschlußstutzens vermindert: Von dessem kreiszylindrischen Mantel wird am dem Projektorgehäuse abgewandten Rand eine etwa halbkreisförmige KonturThe assembly and maintenance effort is reduced when using conventional projectors for fiber light lighting systems by a special design of the cable connection socket: From its circular cylindrical casing an approximately semicircular contour is cut off at the edge facing away from the projector housing.

According to Fig. 1, a carrier body 1 for illuminated images or text motifs made of transparent acrylic or other plastic glass is supplied with light from two separate light sources 3 via a plurality of light guides 2 made of glass or plastic fiber strands. These are each housed in the housing 4 of two separate light projectors 5, each with a reflector 6, lens 7, focusing means 8 and cable connection piece 9 for the light guides 2. The ends 10 of the light guides 2 opposite the cable connection piece 9 are inserted into blind holes 11, which in the example shown are formed in a narrow side 12 of the carrier body 1, with their longitudinal direction running at an oblique angle 13 relative to the longitudinal front edge 14 or the perpendicular to it. This angle of incidence 13 ensures that the light cones 15 falling into the medium of the carrier body 1 at the end 10 of the light guide completely capture the information motif 16, for example a text engraved with contours and glued to the back with colored foil. The angle of incidence 13 is to be determined in order to optimize the illumination of the information motif depending on its shape.
Fig. 1) räumlich verteilt angeordnet werden. According to Fig. 2, the carrier body has an extremely small thickness or depth 17 or a narrow shape. A point-based light guide connection can be achieved using the blind hole 11 (indicated by dashed lines). Similar light guide connections can be spatially distributed over the sides of the carrier body at distances 18 from one another (see Fig. 1). According to Fig. 2, the depth 19 of the blind hole 11 makes up approximately two thirds of the thickness 17 of the carrier body 1.
According to Fig. 3, a plurality of light guides are combined in the cable-like manner in the cable connection piece 9, which can be realized, for example, as a turned, hollow-cylindrical aluminum part with an external thread 20 and can be screwed into an internal threaded hole in the projector housing 4. In a special design, an approximately semicircular recess is removed from the cylinder jacket at the front end facing away from the projector housing 4, so that light guide wires or fibers or strands can be inserted or removed from the resulting receiving tray 21 in a manner that is easy to maintain and assemble. A screw-on clamp 22 is used to fix them in place. In the example shown, as can be seen, only a part of the available light source diameter is covered or removed with the two or three light guides 2, which is practical thanks to the recess and the receiving tray 21 in conjunction with the clamp 22.
